JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 http://m.bluejays.mlb.com/news/article/96710722/manager-john-gibbons-eyes-ending-torontos-postseason-drought-in-2015 My apologies if this has been posted or mentioned elsewhere but without actually reading it or watching the video, isn't this basically the same crap we've heard for years? Always next year. We'll get them next year. We were close, failed, but the same team that failed to make the post season will some how do it next year? I guess the longest stretch without a playoff berth has to end sometime statistically speaking but this FO seems to watch everyone else get pissed at failure, go out and try to improve and they just cross their fingers and say "if we stay healthy and everything goes our way."
Anemic0ffense Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 They'll clinch a wild card birth, lose wild card game, AA/Gibbons get extended, another 21 years of mediocrity.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 With what AA plans to do this offseason, the streak is going to hit 22. LOL at pumping money into the bullpen in 2014.
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Lols Gibby will be thrown off by July
shortstop Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Ugh, did they learn nothing - under promise Odds are Gibby is gone during/after next season
RealAccountant Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Cue AAs we didn't manage expectations speech
comeon sense Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Of course he is going to say that. They all say what we want to hear.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted September 28, 2014 Posted September 28, 2014 Ugh, did they learn nothing - under promise Odds are Gibby is gone during/after next season I'll believe it when I see it. Gibbons is one of the cronies, he's basically Teflon no matter how the team performs, just like AA and Beeston.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
