HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 I saw it earlier today. It's pretty sad considering it's not relevant to the 2014 Jays. Why is Ricky Romero there? And Escobar?
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Not sure what this means? Did you like it?
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Ricky is still in the organization and that clip of him watching the screen was too good to leave out especially after I dropped in Joe Carter rounding the bases. That isn't Escobar, the clip I pulled it from is from a promo cut together after the trade, not sure who that is but I liked the shot so I kept it in. In the context of what the montage is about it's pretty relevant. Thanks for the feedback and for checking it out.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 little cheesy, slightly well made, -100 points for blatant self promotion
Convo Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Good job man, not sure why everyone is so critical. Admittedly it was odd seeing Escobar and then Romero to start.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Would have liked more actual game action included. Too much recycled Jays promo stuff. Also, the Yankees clip at 54 seconds is just of Jesus Montero doing a curtain call after his first ML home run lol. It came in a fairly meaningless game; maybe not the type of inspirational clip you were trying to present. Not bad though, keep it up.
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Well thats something I clearly missed then and I will pull it out of the montage and post an ESCOBAR free version tomorrow ... lol ... honestly, the footage was pulled from a promo the year after Escobar was traded so I didn't even give it a second thought. Thanks for the feedback and the catch. Sorry for the misstep.

TheHurl Site Manager Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 oh you said Promo...that was disappointing.
Convo Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Hey guess what, you guys are all cynical *******s. He clearly pull time and energy into this and just wanted to share it. Shame on you.
guylaroche5 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 i liked it but if it's gonna be 2014 video romero should not be in it. maybe you can edit it so that he's the guy watching the jays winning on TV
Candy Maldonado Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 based on the negative reviews, I'm not even going to watch it.
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 it's pretty hard finding solid Jays stuff on the internet and what does it matter if it was a MEANINGLESS Yankee game? The Red Sox game was a simple walk off, the Baltimore game was a simple hug at the end of a game and the Longoria curtain call was again MEANINGLESS. Needed to show clips from the teams in the Jays division so decided on these despite their significance which, in the end, does not matter. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, likes what they like and hates what they hate. I'm a freelance editor and can take criticism extremely well. I really do appreciate the feedback and thanks again for checking out the montage.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 based on the negative reviews, I'm not even going to watch it. Same. there were a few faults but over all it's at least worth a watch just creating a thread for it and posting it in the chat lol

You're probably right though.
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Appreciate that. I'm currently uploading a version WITHOUT Escobar in it ... thanks for catching that and for creating that thread. What other faults bothered you? Would love your feedback for future montages. The Ricky clip has to stay though. It kind of sets up the rest of the montage lol.
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 My first version contained a clip of a player no longer on the team which I failed to notice. Thanks to all of you who caught it. He has since been removed but the theme of the montage remains. This has been an amazing first half to the season. My hope is to not only have the city of Toronto embrace this team but the country of Canada. Their on the verge of doing something truly special and hopefully we're in for some meaningful games come this September. Go Jays Go!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Well done, but you don't need to create two threads posting your own video and calling it a must watch.
sewing78 Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Author Posted July 4, 2014 Ah crap ... wasn't even thinking. Still on auto pilot
Caper Verified Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 If you are going to use the "our time" stuff... at least use the right reference.
admin Site Manager Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Pretty good. As for content, there's a s*** load in MLB videos section, probably 5+ clips for every single game.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Considering you fap to Colon, your standards are really, really low to begin with wilko
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
