What would a Melky Cabrera extension cost?

He will surely want 4 years minimum I think and will likely press for a 5 year deal in negotiations. I bet Bautista tries to use his influence on AA to keep Melky around. As much as I hate players who meddle in GM affairs, I'm really hoping AA brings back Melky and either trades Rasmus(highly doubtful) or gives him a QO and let's him walk.

 

 

Don't think Cabrera will get 5 years, I don't even think he gets 4. I'd say 3 and maybe an option year tops.

I'm thinking he will get around 15m aav...there is a lot of money in baseball. I'd be happy with 3 yrs at that price.
