Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Has Gibbons lost his goddamn mind? Ban
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Has Gibbons lost his goddamn mind? I'm glad someone else noticed 'cause it looks like he's trying to blow Wagner's arm (assuming that's what you're referring to).
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I think Neil Wagner has a bus to Buffalo due. Expect someone else (Jenkins? Stilson? Someone else) to be called up for tomorrow's game.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 People can debate how much of an impact that a manager can have on the outcome of a game but I think we can all agree that firing John Gibbons tomorrow would be the correct decision.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Yeah. Redmond is up and ready and can easily throw 60+ pitches to finish the game, and Gibby leaves Wagner out to throw 47 pitches. Was he punishing him for the walks or something? That's what I'm thinking, but who knows. I know this, I haven't been impressed by his decision-making this season (especially the last few games )
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 There have been more questionable decisions this year than I remember all of last year. Maybe because it was over early last year and this year they're still at .500? Don't know really, but he's either taken pitchers out too early or too late, at least IMO.

ColdPint Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 This is nothing short of embarrassing. Honestly, I hope attendance takes a nosedive, forcing a business decision to be made to bring fans back. I've never felt so negative in 21 years of futility. At some point someone needs to step up and take responsibility.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 All the team needs is a 5th starter and a 2B with a bit more offense. Lol
ColdPint Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Are we still waiting on AA's ability to despair to fill these holes? f***, it's frustrating.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Oh look, another weakly hit ground ball from Goins.
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Are we still waiting on AA's ability to despair to fill these holes? f***, it's frustrating. We're waiting for AA to feel despair as he joins the unemployment line alongside his butt-buddy Beeston.

eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 remember when you told me the Raptors were awesome. they look like a David Busey mug shot tonight. Young team where like 90% of their players are playing their first road playoff game. Spoken like a true bandwagon fan.

Seriously. Fire SOMEBODY, ANYBODY. 20+ years of this crap is unacceptable.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 *sighs* Talk to King. Apparently all of his 65% worth of ground balls are weakly hit. If people can't recognize that Goins has been stung by the BABIP God's so far this year, then I don't even..
ColdPint Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Seriously. Fire SOMEBODY, ANYBODY. 20+ years of this crap is unacceptable. What??? No no, they're a victim of circumstance and bad luck. Nobody is at fault, just let it run it's course. Remember, Beest said we're good for 3 playoffs in 5 years.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Did the Raptors lose? Hopefully they're eliminated soon and fade back into the background for another decade. You used to be a lot more fun to talk to.
BigBounceyBlueBalls Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 And why use Redmond now? FML!
Nabru Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 He's just not a good hitter, it's as simple as that. An upgrade needs to be made at several positions if we want to contend this season, unfortunately the fat greek sat on his fat ass all offseason instead of upgrading like he was supposed. AA, Beeston and Rogers Corp. can all eat the peanuts out of my s***
FireAlexAnthopoulos Verified Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 I'm still the same BTS. Just one that has found out that trolling you about basketball is kind of fun. At least we can make the freaking playoffs in basketball.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 He's better as a reliever than a starter, based on what we've seen so far. As a starter, he was mediocre in the NL.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 If there's a silver lining to this, Tampa is struggling vs. the White Sox, Yankees are getting blown out, and the O's are losing the game and Chris Davis to an oblique injury. But still, let's hope things are better tomorrow.
jaysfan2014 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Geez! Does Brooklyn even want this game???
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
