Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2014 Posted April 22, 2014 Nothing brings me greater joy then watching JPA prove everyone right by the day. Really? I'd say good sex and a beej bring me more joy, but to each their own.

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 LOL That one is less nuanced but makes the point well!
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I wonder how much longer they let him struggle. Until the microsecond that Soto is activated. Then he's DFA.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 I'm glad he's no longer on this team. It's even funnier in a mean way that he's struggling even worse than he did here. At least for this instance the Jays aren't the team making the bad moves.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) I'm glad he's no longer on this team. The team can be slow to give up on guys. but the recent cases of Lincoln, Thames, Snider and Arencibia all look like they made the right call in moving on. Only Gomes recently sticks out as unfortunate but most people felt he was sub par. Rajai is playing well but we knew he'd be decent. We just didn't want to pay him what Detroit did. Bonifacio is playing over his head and will regress. Edited April 23, 2014 by G-Snarls

Robinson Chirinos will start all three games behind the plate; J.P. Arencibia will start none. Manager Ron Washington started Chirinos on Monday and Tuesday night and said he’d “probably” be the starter for Wednesday’s day game. Usually, in a catching platoon, the catchers would split duties so that one didn’t have to play a day game following a night game. Washington, however, also wants to pair Chirinos and Wednesday starter LHP Martin Perez. The two were teammates in Venezuela are friends and have paired well in Perez’s first four starts. Perez takes a 17-inning scoreless streak into the start. The Rangers can play Chirinos three straight days knowing that they will be able to give him – along with the rest of the team – a day off on Thursday “He’s been getting better at everything,” Washington said of Chirinos. “We saw that in spring training. He’s been pretty good. He’s blocked balls well, he’s done a good job receiving.” Washington declined to say that Chirinos had taken over as the team’s starting catcher, but the playing situation suggests that is the case. “I’ve got two catchers,” Washington said. “I don’t have a number one and a number two.” Chirinos’ start Tuesday was his sixth in the Rangers’ last eight games. The Rangers were 5-0 in the give games with him before Tuesday.

We did a good job of moving the runners. They played the infield back. I got the job done.”

baseballsss Verified Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 I just get can't. Is he this great with managment or something. First the Jays hang on to him now the Rangers do. Like seriously how the hell does he still have a major league job.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 He still has the same retarded mindset he had while here. You "got the job done" by grounding out? Wow congrats, that's pretty much the next best thing after a strikeout.
