eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 My God this organization has an atrocious record on drafting and developing position players. It's just incredibly bad. Sorry, I didn't realize you were allowed to draft position players. I thought you were only allowed to draft HS pitchers.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 Sorry, I didn't realize you were allowed to draft position players. I thought you were only allowed to draft HS pitchers. The question is, do you prefer this strategy to the predecessors "low upside college guys who are sure to make the majors, but have virtually no impact once there" strategy? Granted we got a few solid, if unspectacular, pieces that way, but there hasn't been enough time to see what any of these HS pitchers will develop into. (I fear we've traded away the best of the lot already, however...)
