Brantley is in a hot streak now, with 14/34 while Carlos Santana is 8/40, leading to him sitting for ex-Jay Yan Gomes. Ubaldo Jimenez has interesting splits, owning a 6.82 ERA at home and a 3.31 ERA on the road, opposite of the norm. Jimenez is 2-0 with a 3.81 ERA in his last 5 starts The Indians are 23-12 at home since the beginning of May Jays: Jose Bautista hit 14/32 in his 9 games, and of those 14 hits, 4 of them left the yard Josh Johnson pitched against the Indians last season, going 7 innings of 1 run ball while with Miami The Jays only scored 13 runs in the 5 games prior to Sunday's win, where they went 1-4 in that stretch. The Jays scored 11 runs yesterday though in Sunday's victory against the Twins. Maicer Izturis is .315 in his last 25 games, and he went 3/3 against the Twins on Sunday. o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Jays need to show up from the time the stadium opens and play hard!! cant keep losing games
Arkadium Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 It would be nice to sweep the Indians, because it would: - Put us ahead of them in the WC standings - Put us back above .500 - Probably put us ahead of LA too, who we are tied w/ right now.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 It would also be nice to never lose a game ever again! The Jays are a point where they just need to win regardless of the opponent. They have very little time left to keep sputtering. Win games. You make it sound like a 3 game sweep will be impossible? I agree w/ you we have to win regardless, it's just aesthetically the sweep would be nice.
Arkadium Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 No a sweep is certainly possible. I'm saying that the Jays are in such a hole that they can't be worrying about conditional stuff or other teams. They just need to get on a roll and start winning. Yeah let's f***ing GO JAYS !:mad::cool::cool::cool:
theblujay Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 For like his 5th start in a row its time for JJ to show up.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 For like his 5th start in a row its time for JJ to show up. I was about to say just this. Every start I encouragingly ask him to bring it and turn things around. And every time it doesn't happen. Reverse psychology... JJ is gonna suck BAD tonight I just know it
fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Author Posted July 9, 2013 Really? How long are they expecting? There aren't any clouds in the sky, but they are delaying as a precaution
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 There aren't any clouds in the sky, but they are delaying as a precaution lol
Caper Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Really? How long are they expecting? Wilner said it may be 1 to 3 hours. Cleveland weather says it will pass.
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Is the tarp on the field? More importantly, is this going to turn into another "post pics of hot girls during the rain delay" thread?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Is the tarp on the field? Yes 10 minutes ago there was a light sprinkle by the looks of it Now it's a downpour
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Yes 10 minutes ago there was a light sprinkle by the looks of it Now it's a downpour Probably looking at a minimum 8pm start?

G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Jamie Campbell came on and said they are now expecting a 7:40 EST start Not bad
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Tarp coming off In the mean time SN showing Orioles Rangers
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Blue Jays fans are everywhere, and loud!
LOVethISTEam Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Blue Jays fans are everywhere, and loud! Speaking of this, anyone here from Vancouver and going to head south for the Seattle series in August? I went last year and the atmosphere was nuts - you couldn't walk anywhere in downtown Seattle without seeing at least 3 or 4 other Jays fans. Somehow there were like 6 guys in Oilers jerseys at the game as well...
digiblader Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Ubaldo is so frustrating..all the talent, and yet he walks the park most of the time. So far, so good for him though..but we'll see what happens.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Always nice to get that first quick out
LittleWall Verified Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Hopefully the haircut gets JJ going
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Who's this guy with Pat in the broadcast booth? Is it the Cleveland guy? Is this some sort of hybrid broadcast?
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
