It's just one win. They've gotten to 7 games under several times before just to fall back to 9 or 10 under, most recently against these Rangers last Sunday when they had a chance to sweep, took a 4-0 lead only to blow it and go on to lose the next 2 games.

Amazing what starting pitching can do for a team, the bats aren't required to go yard or put up a 5-6 spot.

 

Over the last month we haven't seen many of these at all, maybe a great start here and there, but they were rare.

Great job by Rogers. Wouldn't it be nice if our "good" pitchers could have starts like this consistently. I was pretty skeptical of the Rogers to the rotation move, but so far I think he's looked really good.

It was never a good idea. It was down out of necessity. And he stepped up big time. Kudos for him.

Morrow will have a spot when he comes back for sure but I could see Happ going back to the bullpen if Rogers is still putting up the best starts on the team
