Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Source: Chien-Ming Wang to sign with #BlueJays. Expected to start Tuesda
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Wow... Not a big fan of that move, but who else do we have?
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 lol.........gong show. We need him... sad but true
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Dickey, Johnson, Wang Pitchers whose last names are euphemisms for penis are the new market inefficiency.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I don't mind this move. He's been decent down in AAA so far this year, and with the way the ball has been flying out of RC this year another ground ball pitcher can't be a bad thing. He's also given up 1 or less runs in 6 of his 9 starts this year, and one total in his last 3.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Desperate times... Yada yada yada ...
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Chances are he sucks, but this has the potential to be the best scrap-heap pick-up so far this season.

ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 (edited) Dickey, Johnson, Wang EPIC! Now trade for Furbush AA! Edited June 7, 2013 by ace3113
Deadpool Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 EPIC! No trade for Furbush AA! Bobby Cox for Manager!
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 3 innings, DFA'd after the game... of course not, I'm sure that AA has made a promise. lol
Jeffrey_Paul Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Bobby Cox for Manager! and Anthopoulos is some crazy disease they all contracted
JugglingPitches Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Dickey, Johnson, and Wang...a hard rotation to beat.
Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I mean I hope this works out, but I highly doubt it. I like the move. Don't get me wrong I don't hold huge hope that it will work out long term. He's an 8th starter, but atleast a better 8th starter then Ramon Ortiz (now watch him get creamed as oppose to Ramon's 5 good innings first time out).
SexyNewForum Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I actually love this. Hes been good in AAA maybe hes returned to form. Yeah I don't mind it... But how the hell did this guy put up 4 WAR season pitching 3.2 K/9 and then another 4 WAR season pitching 4.7 K/9
ace3113 Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Bobby Cox for Manager! I forgot to add Fister. Hahaha.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 lol @ the names of our rotation. I guess if we're going to suck, we might as well be hilarious while doing so.
eastcoastjaysfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Rasmus++ for Fister. Fire Gibbons and hire Cox. Dickey, Johnson, Fister, Wang, and (Mr. )Jenkins Convert Stubby "Got The" Clapp to pitcher are we're all set!
baseballsss Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 This worries me. yah wangs gunna give up a lot of hits (most groundball pitchers do) so he will rely on the double play which are defence can't turn to save their lives. Atleast if lawrie comes back with his range it will help a lot but what we have now shits gunna hit the fan.
JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 I was surprised it was a ML deal and not a minor league deal. Guess Ortiz will be out for a bit longer and they need someone to take over for him. We're kind of tapped out in depth though why not have Jenkins starting over the scrap? Hopefully he surprises everyone and makes a few decent starts.

JaysFan4Ever Verified Member Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Low $ I suppose so they can release him and eat the $ if he's bad... Ah! Good point. If he pitches horribly, he's gone and not really costing the Jays much and if he pitches well enough to stick around, another option.
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 7, 2013 Author Posted June 7, 2013 Jenkins will be starting....no more Rogers piggyback starts. Jenkins (3.6K/9, 4.7 xFIP) hasn't pitched well, he has been lucky and the Petco Park helped him a lot.
