I don't mind this move. He's been decent down in AAA so far this year, and with the way the ball has been flying out of RC this year another ground ball pitcher can't be a bad thing. He's also given up 1 or less runs in 6 of his 9 starts this year, and one total in his last 3.

yah wangs gunna give up a lot of hits (most groundball pitchers do) so he will rely on the double play which are defence can't turn to save their lives. Atleast if lawrie comes back with his range it will help a lot but what we have now shits gunna hit the fan.

I was surprised it was a ML deal and not a minor league deal. Guess Ortiz will be out for a bit longer and they need someone to take over for him. We're kind of tapped out in depth though why not have Jenkins starting over the scrap? Hopefully he surprises everyone and makes a few decent starts.

Ah! Good point. If he pitches horribly, he's gone and not really costing the Jays much and if he pitches well enough to stick around, another option.

Jenkins (3.6K/9, 4.7 xFIP) hasn't pitched well, he has been lucky and the Petco Park helped him a lot.
