Notes:

 

Orioles::

• Manny Machado has absolutely owned the Jays this year, hitting .524 (11 for 21) this year against the Jays
  
• Nick Markakis has been hitting the ball hard, having a 9 game hit streak and hitting .375 (15 for 40) during that time
  
• The O's launched a season high 4 homers last night, pushing them to the MLB lead in team homers with 66. They've hit at least 3 homers in the last 4 games, hitting 13 homers in total in the last 4.
  

 

Jays:

• Darrin Oliver is headed to the 15 day-DL (retro to last Sunday) which made room for Sean Nolin. After the start last night, Nolin got optioned back to AA. Thad Weber (who was claimed from the Padres last week) will get the call to the BP from AAA
  
• Josh Johnson will start tonight in AAA Buffalo after having a nice outing in Dunedin. According to Gibbons, he needs 3 rehab starts before a callup, and so far he's started one, so one more start after today should be enough for him to return.
  
• Bautista's 5-11 with two homers against Garcia, and Lind is 4-8 with two homers of his own against Garcia
  
• The Jays have won 6/8 home games at the RC, pushing the team to an improved 12-14 record at home

Agreed. Feeling really good about this one with Dickey vs Garcia. If Jenkins can have some of that magic going again for 5, should walk away with the next two. Go Jays Go. As Babbaganoush said, great name ps, top 6 is going to have to carry us, and I would even narrow that down to the top 4. Lind is going to be a beast today.

Lawrie has to get going his .195 average is terrible. If he can get it going the lineup gets a lot tougher.

Agree, the lack of depth/option for pitching really hurts...

 

GArcia throws a lot of off speed, the type of scrub that can make the jays look bad at the plate, this team is too aggressive at times.
