fatcowxlive Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) Best Buehrle start of the season, great job from him, a strong 8 innings of shutout ball... until Oliver came in, and let his inherited run score + go ahead run scores on error, but Lind saves the day! Scoring Plays: Top of the 3rd: Jays score (lead 1-0): Melky Cabrera singles to left, Colby Rasmus scores Top of the 4th: Jays score (lead 2-0): Colby Rasmus singles to right field, Victorino bobbles the ball allowing Lind to score from second Bottom of the 8th: Red Sox score (Jays lead 2-1): Jacoby Ellesbury triples off the center field wall caching in David Ross Red Sox score (tied game 2-2): Pedroia hits a grounder to Kawazaki that's booted, he'll be safe at 1st and Ellesbury comes home from 3rd Top of the 9th: Jays score (lead 3-2): Adam Lind heroics! Homer to dead center with no one on for the go ahead run! Box Scores: http://i.imgur.com/BzatlQ1.png http://i.imgur.com/KKDKmr5.png Edited May 11, 2013 by fatcowxlive

ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Gotta get to Dempster tomorrow, they should've gotten to him in Toronto, but here's another chance. Problem is Jenkins is pitching, but we'll see.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 I can't seem to remove the Delabar pic He should have faced Napoli in the 8th BTW

Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The best part is that Buehrle did it against a good offense. If he is right moving forward that's going to be huge for this rotation.

Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Was anyone else infuriated when Gibby pulled Buehrle? Only 105 pitches, pitching a shut out... Gibby getting trigger happy.

He hasn't had many chances to be trigger happy or unhappy, I can think of the start in KC where he pulled Dickey. Other than that, starters haven't pitched that great, but I do think he hasn't pushed their pitch count. He probably knows they didn't get stretched out enough during ST and April was extended ST. Anyway...
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 Boston taking their level.. 2W-6L last 8

On the other hand, he let Dickey pitch to Overbay up a run in NY with a runner on and got burned. Starters haven't pitched well enough to really worry about it.
