G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 hey bryce can you tell me the cards score... lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Bryce Harper ate scoreboard and left the game And had this to say about it:
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 He and Brett Lawrie may eventually learn that hard doesn't have to include stupid
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Granderson back: Joel Sherman @Joelsherman1 Granderson officially activated, now go face King Felix. Career: 15-for-55 (.273) with 5 XBHs (2 HRS), but also 20Ks. #Yankees #Mariners
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Cabrera DH Bautista RF EE 1B DeRosa 2B Lawrie 3B Izturis SS Rasmus CF Blanco C Bonifacio LF Dickey
Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Mark DeRosa is playing cleanup. On a team with World Series aspirations. This will take me a while to comprehend. DeRosa is 7-for-28 lifetime with three home runs and seven walks off Vs Barry Zito lol
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 DeRosa is 7-for-28 lifetime with three home runs and seven walks off Vs Barry Zito lol #CraftyGibby
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Joel Sherman @Joelsherman1 Nuno will be demoted for Grandy, probably will start to offer AAA protection, Brett Marshall soon to join when Joba returns #Yankees
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 I guess Cashman cycles through spot starters the same way AA does...
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 14, 2013 Author Posted May 14, 2013 DeRosa 4th > Lind 4th vs a lefty last year (thanks Farrell)
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 He had to because of the double-header yesterday. Right you are
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 14, 2013 Posted May 14, 2013 Hmmm, Granderson to LF so Gardner can stay in center???
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Tampa Bay continues its comeback.. hitting Lackey hard in the 4th. 5-3 Tampa Bay at the end of 4. Looks like Boston's strong start was a fluke--they're still the same team that went 69-93.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Who on earth thanked you? His alternate account perhaps?
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) Jim Johnson blows a save vs. the Padres on a single by Chris Denorfia. Could've been worse had Jedd Gyorko not GIDP.. it's 3-2 Padres. Edited May 15, 2013 by digiblader Update

They're something in between.
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Ok--but if they're in between, it still puts them on pace for an 80-win season, which is what I expected for Boston. They've still got a ways to go in their rebuild. By the way, some of their good things: Victorino hitting, Ortiz hitting, Pedroia hitting, Napoli hitting for power. Lester and Buchholz leading the pitching staff. The bad: Ellsbury hitting .256 and not hitting for average. Gomes is a free agent bust(.185 avg), Middlebrooks has regressed(31% K rate, .201 avg), Napoli strikes out too much despite his power (3rd highest in Ks in the MLB, and has struggled in May), no real closer until Bailey returns. Issues in the rotation after Lester Buchholz, and Dempster, as Doubront has been awful, Lackey has been questionable, and none of their AAA arms are MLB ready(Aceves is trash, Webster is not MLB ready.) Sorry for the lack of good news--but Boston's May has been terrible. Likely it's a regression to the .500 team that was expected in Boston.
torontofan Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Andrew McCutchen just hit a walk-off blast against the Brewers in 12-innings. He's been heating up! LOL, anyways finding a way to bring up your fantasy players in baseball talk.
HERPDERP Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 Wells is going to retire at season's end http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/new-york-yankees-vernon-wells-dominating-when-they-were-supposed-to-fold-051413 I think he's the real deal this year. He should be able to get one last contract (2/3 year deal) but I guess he wants more family time. He already got enough money.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 There is a campaign to allow Mariano to start the All Star game this year. I don't mind the idea at all.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 There is a campaign to allow Mariano to start the All Star game this year. I don't mind the idea at all. Cool. Since the actual starters only pitch briefly... And the game may not be close in the 9th... Why not? Make it happen Jim
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Author Posted May 15, 2013 There is a campaign to allow Mariano to start the All Star game this year. I don't mind the idea at all. Meh, I don't see why not. Not like any Jays will be vying for a start lol.
Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers activated Zack Greinke from the disabled list Wednesday to start against the Nationals, and placed right-hander Josh Beckett on the 15-day disabled list due to a left groin strain
digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 (edited) Phil Hughes got mauled vs. the Mariners--already out of the game after 0.2 IP, giving up 7 ER(including a grand slam by Raul Ibanez!). Won't be much of a benefit to the Jays.. Yanks will likely have Brett Marshall eat innings. However, the Yanks play tomorrow--better hope Pettite pitches deep tomorrow, or it's going to be a long weekend for the Yankees, especially considering how hot the Jays are. digiblader Verified Member Posted May 15, 2013 Posted May 15, 2013 And how about Vernon Wells? 10 HRs already! He's looking like a Comeback player of the year--Angels should NEVER have traded him.
