Dylan Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Not sure if this was posted. Rangers place Pierzynski on 15-day DL
TheHurl Site Manager Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 There is a lesson to be learned in the Shelby Miller case, I'm not sure what that lesson is yet but there is one. I almost feel like the Cards told him to lower the velocity last year to get everyone off the bandwagon. He's averaging over 93 and throwing (in a SSS) better than he did in any year in the minors.

digiblader Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The Hanrahan trade is officially a bust. Joel Hanrahan is going to have season ending surgery. Meanwhile, Mark Melancon is dominating batters in Pittsburgh. Better hope Bailey gets healthy and Tazawa keeps dominating..
dmrich28 Verified Member Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Joel Hanrahan (elbow) confirmed Saturday that he will undergo season-ending surgery. Hanrahan said that he didn't really have a choice, as his flexor tendon is torn off the bone. He's expected to meet with Dr. James Andrews next week for surgery, which will sideline him for at least six months. There's a chance that Tommy John surgery will also be required, but we won't know definitively until next week. Hanrahan, 31, is set to become a free agent this offseason. GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 In the comments the author argues Andrew Miller > Casey Janssen. Clearly a Red Sox fan falling victim to being a f***ing idiot like every other Red Sox fan on the planet. FTFY "Casey Janssen, Toronto's closer, is a respectable stopper, but in all likelihood would be Boston's mop-up reliever. Still, give Farrell the nod for improving Janssen's resume." LOL How can one person be so f***ing stupid?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2013 Author Posted May 11, 2013 He claims to not have bias to the Jays or Red Sox as he says he is an O's fan. O's fans are stupid, too, but I don't really care who the guy is, he's just a complete idiot. Ben Cherington is really, really stupid. - Trades Reddick+ for Bailey when everyone knew his arm was about to fall off. Doesn't actually have replacement for Reddick. - Trades Lowrie+ for Melancon. Doesn't actually have replacement for Lowrie. - Panics and demotes Melancon after 2 bad innings. - Doesn't look at DIPS, and trades Melancon (6.20 ERA 3.45 xFIP)+ for the older, declining, and more expensive Hanrahan (2.72 ERA, 4.28 xFIP). This is the work of an imbecile folks. Lol, I tried explaining this to a Red Sox fan, but he's convinced they were great trades. *This guy is also convinced Bogaerts is a HOF talent, which I have him on quote as saying*
