The team did well offensively (and defensively) without Bichette and Santander, even in the postseason. But I’m still sad Bichette left. Drafted in 2016. Part of me always thought he’d be a Blue Jay lifer but oh well.
It’s kind of incredible the difference between an org like Milwaukee and the Yankees. One is miles ahead in intelligence but has next to no money to spend, the other is ancient and has a super payroll, lol.
Agreed. Speaking strictly about outfielders. Kwan was worth a few wins last year and with 2 arb years left. What would a potential package be that Cleveland would consider?
From a payroll perspective, Kwan + Bichette is probably very doable vs Tucker + Bichette.
Hard to believe there isn’t some element of fixing wrt the outcomes of games, even MLB. I used to get really into spectator sports but have dialed it back the last few years. Just can’t trust anything anymore.
Some things just aren’t quantifiable as Shapiro said in the end of season press conference. Looking forward to what the front office has in store for fans this offseason.
I am still sad. This was the worst sports fandom loss in my life. Doubt it gets topped. Not likely Toronto gets back to the WS any time soon but hopefully they can retain their FO and keep the team competitive. You never know.
Yeah, the bitter part of me can’t stand Ohtani and his smugness. The media gushing over him even though he was terrible in game 7 and probably a degenerate gambler. Which of course was neatly swept under the rug. The whole Dodger team won because of the Blue Jays beating themselves all series. Whatever.
Depressing that there’s no next game. I’ve had some tough losses with my sports teams but this takes top spot. I’ve been groggy all day today. Got to do something productive and have a good week. If anyone wants to vent, send me a message.
