Bregman opting out of the remaining $80M and is will be a free agent this off season. If Bo isn't signing here, which doesn't look like he will, Bregman would be a great get to replace Bo's bat. That would also mean Barger would be the full time right fielder.

Blessing in disguise leaving Bo off the roster. This is the playoffs where good defence is magnified and can be expected. Bo hasn't seen live pitching in over a month, so expecting his bat to pick up where it left off is not realistic and can't be banked upon, at the top of the order no less. Bo is also considering his free agency and isn't interested in risking ripping up his knee going into the off season. -
