    Buying at the all time high is always risky but this one looks like it's forming into a really bad signing. Good thing a lot of the other lesser options are performing or we'd be cooked. If a high end SP is added at the deadline, things are going to get interesting. Management should write off Satandar for the season by keeping him on the IL. He'd ruin the flow of the offence batting in the middle of the line up.

    I agree. The base hit was a bullet to left and caused the left fielder to field it while moving to his right which should have been all Springer needed to see in convincing himself the runner from second is scoring. No need to be aggressive in that situation.

    It looks like Giminez' batting glove has a thicker type velcro wrap around the wrist. Hopefully that's what saved him.

    Bottom of the ninth with two out and the game on the line, who would you prefer batting? If you can answer that question definitively, then it does matter on who is batting seventh versus ninth.

    Finally Barger adjusted, hit it pretty well.

    If you're sitting breaking ball, you have time to adjust mid swing accordingly and put the ball in play,. It's just somewhat baffling that Barger hasn't made the adjustment yet. It's way overdue.

    Barger better make the adjustment to the breaking ball, that's all he's been seeing lately. Is it really that difficult to go up and sit on a breaking ball? He'll see more fastballs as a result.
