  1. It’s so pathetic that the dodgers fans don’t realize how bad that ohtani contract is.
  2. Just gauging interest if there is a market on when we were 60% on the pie chart and dodgers at 30%. Will be doing a run of about 50 t-shirts to start at $35 each plus shipping.
  3. It just means if they don’t win in the next 5 years they probably won’t be winning in the next 15 after that. They are insecure about the 2020 Covid season
  4. Is it safe to say ohtani is cooked? I didn’t want to use that word in case we got him. But now that we turned him down, I think he’s cooked
  5. Ohtani won’t pitch 500 innings rest of his life. As soon as he starts hitting 850 ops in a few years his contract is brutal. They need a lot of pitching and need to win next 2-3 years
  6. Thanks Moc. I never thought for a second it wasn’t a sure thing. Good riddance beau and vald
  7. I’m just glad it’s finally over and we signed him. The off-season isn’t nearly as depressing as I thought it would be knowing what we have to look forward to. Assuming we get Bauer or this other Japanese superstar and trade manoah for some HOF 3rd basemen
  8. There is no risk in ohtani. There used to be risk. But like I said he’s like Bitcoin, his value may vary slightly but ultimately ohtani is the ultimate store of value next to Bitcoin. It literally cannot physically go down long term. So worst case we unload him to the Yankees in 2026 for their whole farm system
  9. Yes it’s clear we 100% have him. Just ironing out the details.
  10. You could say that but it has become quite apparent that I think we got him, just in my heart I feel I am right here.
  11. I know nothing happened but the circumstantial evidence has become unbearable and irresponsible to ignore. It would be irresponsible to not say to anyone on Twitter than he is a blue jay.
  12. I hate the orioles but they are expecting to win the division still. They aren’t expecting regression, or us and Yankees going way over budget to contend
  13. How much is a reasonable hooker budget for 600m? After taxes you only have like 350m or 400. So I would think $2000 a week, about $100k per year.
  14. Mainly I feel bad for the orioles and rays. Their division is getting more competitive
  15. We should get kershaw to pitch his final year as well
  16. Ohtani is the main course but surely there will be appetizers to protect that 600m investment
  17. Somehow Yankees favourite to win division at 4-1 and we are only 5-1 now with a better team than Yankees before they got Soto and gave away king and us getting ohtani and the other guy
  18. No way an opt out would be in a contract 600m agree. His value just can’t realistically be more than 60-70m for a year long term in today’s market. He is lucky he’s getting 600 with the arm questionable. That said, I will be very upset if he doesn’t average a 1.0 OPS over the first 5 years. He is setting expectations high.
  19. Everyone works from home now, 7pm start in Toronto is like 10am Japan.
  20. Why would he pick the dodgers? Rogers centre is a replica of his Japanese stadium he played in.
