  1. To my eye he looks (almost) the same, I put the below together you can see his current leg kick isn't as pronounced, bat is fairly vertical in both. Any other changes and we'll need Pop to chime in
  2. Very interesting interview with Cal Raleigh on how he changed his swing (using the torpedo bat) forcing him to delay his swing translating to more power - getting the ball up in the air more often. Increasing his FB rate by 6% @27vladdyjr
  3. yea very little scapula loading, there's a few pitchers that do this and actually Mason Miller is 50/50 (although I haven't slowed down his video but at regular speed it looks like he doesn't fully load)
  4. Austin Martin Draft Comparison: In terms of comparative comps, Martin was often compared to players like: Andrew Benintendi (Boston Red Sox) for his approach at the plate and hit tool. Javier Báez (Chicago Cubs) in terms of versatility and potential for power, though Martin's hit tool was considered to be a bit more refined at the time. Dustin Pedroia (former Boston Red Sox) was also mentioned for his potential to be a high-contact, on-base, multi-position player.
  5. fun to dream, let's wait until he reaches AA
  6. it better be because Bassitt requested to be on a pitch count
  7. Not gonna matter how Berrios pitches if we don't start hitting. (just tuning in)
  8. Mason Miller hit 104 the other day, if we see him tonight.
  9. That was OUTSTANDING baserunning by Straw
  10. f***ing brutal Gonna need the bats for this game
  11. got a be compact as a catcher and let the ball come to you, up and throw
  12. Reaching doesn't even help you get the ball to 2nd in fact it can slow you down because you still have to bring the glove back to transfer to make the throw.
  13. Guess Scherzer's thumb is ok - he's tossing a ball from hand to hand
  14. Great approach there by Bo, cut his swing down and put the ball in play
  15. There's a little Dick Mountain in Lopez
  16. how come we don't get the line-ups posted anymore?
  17. the life of a major league closer, deal with it
  18. ^absolutely, he's an everyday player IMO
  19. I think Scherzer would like that s***** changeup back that he threw to Soderstrom, otherwise he was really good: 90 pitches, 6 complete, QS 8 K's 3 runs, earned
