  1. In all seriousness, this feeling may require meds. I literally can't function during the day and can't sleep at night because I can't stop thinking of the Varsho and Clement at-bats. Good grief! I know it's just a game and life will go on yada yada yada but getting over it seems to be extraordinarily difficult for my brain right now. I'm guessing I'm not the only one, but this can't be healthy. I appreciate all of you being here to help everyone else cope with the loss.
  2. It shouldn't be like that but it is. I know I'm supposed to be able to still enjoy the moment because of how unexpectedly great the season was but it's hard. Like you said, it's hard to watch the great moments of the playoffs now, knowing how it ends. Flying home to Portland last night from Toronto, I looked at my son and told him that if Toronto makes it to the World Series again, we are gonna open ourselves up to feeling this way again, but we are still gonna do it!! All I know is that things were set up so perfectly to celebrate with my kids and experience one of the most joyous occasions that we could possibly experience in our lives together, but it was just not meant to be. I'm glad we made the trip and it was time and money well spent, but the could haves and should haves are gonna haunt me for a while.
  3. I just want to make sure Bo is back. Can just imagine how the season ends if both Springer and Bo could run..... I wanna see Vlad and Bo stick together. What other top duos through the years were together like Bo and Vlad have been and will continue to be if Bo signs?
  4. Just got back to the hotel after the game. What a crushing heartbreaker. The kid next to me was balling his eyes out after the game. The one play I keep thinking about was Clement's big hit to the gap that was caught as the two outfielders collided. I just remember watching Kike Hernandez looking so hopeless as the ball was going over his head and I thought for sure the World Series had just been won but it wasn't meant to be. Makes me sick!
  5. Feels like their backs are against the wall right now and I like how this team has responded all season is those situations. Let's bring home the championship tonight!!!!!!!
  6. I just keep thanking our lucky stars that Yesavage wasn't included in some trade at the deadline this year. That would have been awful, no matter who we got!
  7. The Jays can't come this far and not win the whole darn thing. That would be pure torture in the off season given the current scenario. I'm just hoping this team has one more special game in them! I still can't believe that back in July when the Jays were on a roll, I made hotel reservations in Toronto for the World Series week! My family laughed at me. My friends thought I was crazy. Heck, I thought I was a bit crazy too I guess, but I'm sitting here in my hotel room right now waiting for Game 6 that I booked back in July. I still can't believe it actually happened.
  8. This is just mind numbingly awesome!! Just gotta finish this thing and then have a whole offseason to think about it over and over and over again! Headed to Toronto in the morning. First time I've been there since my (now) wife and I saw the Blue Jays/Mariners back in 1997. Now I'm returning with our kids to see game 6! Let's do this!
  9. I just bought plane tickets to Toronto today. I'm trying to stay positive and am not giving up hope. Hoping we can get at least one more win in LA so I can use the most expensive main cabin plane tickets I have ever purchased!!!! :) Good grief!!
  10. This was a gut punch. It's just a game but feeling devastated. I hope Springer is ok. The amount of character it's going to take for these guys to bounce back and win tomorrow is off the charts. Let's see if they have it in them. Gotta believe!!
  11. Anyone see an interview with the coach yet to see his explanation for the pgutted lineup he put out there??
  12. Please please.... pretty please with sugar on top...... let the Jays score right here!!
  13. These guys have hung tough for sure after the coach tied one hand behind their backs. Still a chance! You never know! Don't give up hope just yet.
  14. Let's go!! It's ours for the taking right effing now!!!!!!!
  15. I hear ya!! I am so excited to be in the World Series and thought I would be satisfied with that but I find myself really wanting to finish this thing and will be disappointed if they don't! Call me a greedy bastard if you want, but let's get game 3 and get one step closer to shocking the world!!! I want it all!!
  16. Yeah, when Vlad had one of his rare swing and misses for a K in the first, I started to get a little concerned. However, the Jays had a few moments with multiple guys on early but couldn't get the magical big blast we have gotten used to, credit to Yamamoto for pitching a great game. On to the next!! Let's get game 3!!!
  17. Scherzer probably went to coach with the crazy eyes and said he's ready to dominate again and coach wanted an extra rest day for Bieber. I don't know the real reason though....
  18. Hope so! He looked very uncomfortable after making that great play going to his right and turning to throw it to first last might. I can't image that feeling too good on his injury.
  19. Please please please win tomorrow too!!! That would put so much pressure on the Dodgers heading back to LA. Come on Gausman.... you got this! Hopefully the run support is there again. Ok, maybe 11 is too much to ask for again but....
  20. Is it game time yet? Man, this wait is a killer. Seems like nobody is giving the Jays a chance, but I've learned to never doubt this team. LFG! Of course I can't wait to see Bo play, but I'm really interested to see how the manager incorporates Barger and Lukes into the game. Those are two good hitters who can come in during key spots and do damage against bullpen righties.
  21. We haven't seen the results yet..... Let's hope they are good! :)
  22. This could get interesting.......
