I agree that there will be more options, and better options, to upgrade starting pitching at the trade deadline, and since they should be in the hunt for a playoff spot all season long, I think that's a reasonable approach to take.
It's always a balance between signing a lesser option now that might help you be more competitive early in the season and perhaps get you closer to a playoff spot at the trade deadline, vs trusting the group that's there now, and rewarding them with an upgrade closer to the playoffs. Of course anything can happen, but I think it will be between the Blue Jays and Tampa Bay for the wild card spot, and honestly, I like the Blue Jays.
So I think if the team is done for now that's just fine. Allows them to add later and load up for a run. I like the group they have enough to think they will be in the mix all season.
