Are they discontinuing the radio feed altogether though? I thought they were going to broadcast the TV stream over the radio using some kind of simulcast technology. If that's the case, your MLB app and your radio feed should still do the trick. I grew up with Tom and Jerry too, and there's some nostalgia here that I'm missing as well, but I wasn't in love with the current radio crew. In fact, I'm quite a big Dan Shulman fan. I think he calls a great game. This might not end up being as bad as it first seems.

I agree that there will be more options, and better options, to upgrade starting pitching at the trade deadline, and since they should be in the hunt for a playoff spot all season long, I think that's a reasonable approach to take. It's always a balance between signing a lesser option now that might help you be more competitive early in the season and perhaps get you closer to a playoff spot at the trade deadline, vs trusting the group that's there now, and rewarding them with an upgrade closer to the playoffs. Of course anything can happen, but I think it will be between the Blue Jays and Tampa Bay for the wild card spot, and honestly, I like the Blue Jays. So I think if the team is done for now that's just fine. Allows them to add later and load up for a run. I like the group they have enough to think they will be in the mix all season. Great off-season. Now LFG!
