I have a bad feeling that the Dodgers will trade Teo and then sign Tucker to a massive short term deal.

I dont even want to think about my reaction if we see Bo sign elsewhere on a reasonable contract, especially if Tucker signs elsewhere too.

Im scared to wake up and find out Bo has signed elsewhere or worse with a rival for under 200M. His personality is carrying over to his free agency with it being far too quiet.

Most of us thought the Adames deal was a good comparison. The only thing that could piss Bo off is that Vlad got 500M and theres no way he thinks Vlad is THAT much better than him. Its a hit to the ego regardless of how close they are to each other. Wild how injuries can change so much in such little time.

Just 2 years ago, majority of the fanbase wanted to keep Bo over Vlad. Now here we are where Vlad got 500M and theres a chance Bo gets below 200M lol.

Injury/bounceback, same thing. We were pretty much expecting our entire roster to comeback strong in 2025, which it did. The new additions hardly helped us. If youre strictly speaking of injury then add Bo to that list. You can also argue Springer was playing hurt most of 2024, which is why the team kept him at DH for most of 2025 to preserve his health for a full season.

Didn't Bregman just opt out of a deal with 2/80 left on it with some of that deferred? Im sure he's going for the best longterm deal like Alonso this offseason. -
Let's say the Jays have to choose between Bo or Tucker based on their projected contracts as per MLB Trade Rumours. We all know the Blue Jays dont run an unlimited budget even it does feel that way recently. Tucker is obviously a better player than Bo currently but we have to take various factors such as who will age better during their contract and position when deciding who is ultimately the better fit. So by taking everything into consideration, who would you want the Jays to sign? 1. Bo - $208/8yrs = 26M/yr 2. Tucker - $400/11yrs = 36M/yr *This decision may be used against you in future arguments

I think it'd be dumb/shortsighted getting rid of players for cents on the dollar who have a track record of being good (Berrios/Santandar). Berrios being traded only makes sense if him leaving the team in the World Series is too hard of a repatch job in the clubhouse. I actually expect us to start next year with a 6 man rotation where Bieber gets eased in and then we let performance/health determine who remains in the 5 man.

Really doubt we get both Tucker/Bo. I can see us making a play next year for an OFer when Springer expires and Santandar can become a full time DH. I expect us to sign Varsho to an extension, we gave up a lot to bring him here.

Ya its no issue with the way we're acting payroll wise. He also had several big moments in the playoffs. Lets just hope Popkins can fix his offense the way he did with Varsho.

His contract mainly sucks because we have Clement who is pretty much a better super cheap version of him. Id have no issues with play Barger at 3B, Clement at SS and Bo at 2B in the event we land both Tucker/Bo. Don't see that happening and id just be happy to get Bo back.

Lol like we've had a bunch of Josh Hader's in our bullpen... I hope we give more of a look to Lauer if hes in our bullpen. Dude was money for majority of the year and was underused down the stretch.

With how much this front office loves their lefty/righty matchups even if it means a AAA arm over an established righty... I really wish theyd get a true shutdown lefty so I dont have to clench the buttcheeks seeing Little/Flaharty in the 8th.

If no other additions are made then let's hope Varland can be that guy. He has the stuff/makeup for the role. Hopefully another offseason to refine his game will be whats needed.
