Its not that the teams dont want to spend, they just dont want to overpay in Free Agency based on their models. Teams just have way smarter analytics now. They have a price for a player and they won't budge from it because doing so is a waste.

They wanted Bo and Vlad for Ozuna But who knows. If those three are even a conversation starter I'd do it. Heck I'd add Osuna if they want pitching so badly. They can flip Osuna and get even more Osuna Alford And Greene. Wartmoth can't be traded as he was drafted less than a year ago

Teams are valuing free agents more consistently. Free agency has always been an overpayment. There are going to be serious bargains on the back end. Shatkins will have a real chance to improve this team in late Feb Assuming they have a payroll of 165 like we have been told. -

Too bad there are no other pathways for us acquiring Salazar. I can't imagine any of our other relief arms being enough to even start a package. As good as Leone was last year, I doubt he even starts a conversation.

Would you do Salazar for Osuna 1 to 1. You would have a rotation with huge upside.

How come all I hear is how good Hosmer is defensively, and yet his defensive runs saved are negative over the last few years.
