  1. I voted for Cleveland because my head says it's the better match up for the Jays. Plus I'm so sick of Boston and hearing about David Ortiz final season.
  2. I was just watching Tim & Sid and Sid brought up something interesting that I never noticed and it was not mentioned on the broadcasts until now. In Game 2 when Texas was losing 2-0 Carlos Gomez does a bat flip on a single and last night when Gomez walked to lead off the 1st inning, once again he flipped his bat walking towards first base. For all the crap Sam Dyson and Texas said about Bautista and his bat flip, they look like complete hypocrites.
  3. I don't want to get ahead of myself because we all remember how the Jays were in the situation last year that Texas is right now, however my head and heart says it's better that they would play Cleveland instead of Boston. Last year I said to myself I would have rather seen Toronto play Houston in the ALCS and not Kansas City, because it would have given Toronto home field and I couldn't stand the Royals because of all their late game comebacks.
  4. I forgot to mention besides Eckersley the one other person who completely ignored Toronto and refused to give them any credit was Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo. For those who have MLB Network he has a show called High Heat and prior to the Wild Card game he predicted the Blue Jays would lose because in the end their bullpen was not as good compared to the one Baltimore had. While he might have been right about that here is what I hated about him. The day after the Wild Card game not once did he give Toronto any credit for their win or even mention how their bullpen allowed 0 hits, with the one negative being a Brett Cecil walk. Instead he focused on how Zach Britton was never used. While that might have been the popular thing to focus on you think saying Toronto's bullpen pitched a lot better than expected should have been mentioned. Other than Russo being an idiot every other analyst at MLB Network seems to give each team equal attention and that includes the Blue Jays.
  5. Personally I thought the TBS crew with Ernie Johnson, Ron Darling and Cal Ripken who did the Wild Card game and who are currently doing the Cleveland - Boston series are a lot better than the crew who are doing the Blue Jays series. Plus I'm going to assume for the ALCS they would be doing those games, so we won't be hearing Eckersley anymore since they are the #1 broadcast team. Also at starting in the ALDS TBS, Fox and MLB Network seem to switch every year between the AL and NL. Last year Fox and MLB Network had the rights for the AL games and TBS did the NL games.
  6. If the situation called for it in Game 3 should Gibbons forget about bringing in a left handed pitcher to face a left handed hitter? Cecil was brought in to pitch against Odor and walked him on 4 straight pitches. Later on as we all know he brought in Francisco Liriano to face Moreland, who was lucky enough to get a double since it went off Edwin's glove and would have been foul had he not went for it. Still those are two examples of that match up not working, because in the Liriano example I would have left Grilli in the game.
  7. Maybe it's just me but does anyone else think that Dennis Eckersley is cheering against the Blue Jays? For example during Game 2 when Texas had 1 or 2 runners on base when the score was 5-1, he said maybe this will start a comeback for them, whereas when Toronto was able to get their home runs he barely said anything. Perhaps he is still pissed about Alomar's home run in 1992 which could be the reason why he is anti-Toronto and pro Texas.
