    Apparently the two front runners for Nathan Eovaldi are the Angels and a "mystery AL East team". Please be the Jays. He'd be a perfect #5.

    Gonna need a guy that can consistently get on base to round out the lineup (preferably a left bat). If Varsho, Chap, Jano, Biggio, KK are in the lineup together (which they will most of the time), chances are there'll be plenty of low scoring games and not a whole lot of getting on base. If any combination of those guys fall in a slump at the same time, this team will struggle mightily to produce runs.

    Panic trade is the best way to label it. Struck out on a bunch of free agents. In: Bassitt, Varsho, Swanson Out: Moreno, Teo, Gurri, Stripling Can't say we got better....

    This seems like a copium type comment. Not an impact bat? His numbers don't lie. Gurri was a very good hitter. Durability was his biggest concern. He was still young and was improving.

    Best contact hitter when healthy. I feel like he had a whole lot more upside as well. He was gonna be like his brother but better.

    I don't know how to feel about this... I was very high on Moreno and always believed Gurri was the best hitter on this team. I'm sad. Is Varsho really worth it???

    Will be fun seeing the Canadian duo of Pop & Romano close our games out. (has a nice ring to it too)

    only reason im upset about this deal is because i expected groshans to be part of a package for a star player. it's a solid deal on paper. i think groshans is quite overrated.

    Tapia is far from a bum. I've always thought of him as a solid player. Don't understand the hate for this guy. He's basically another Ben Revere and IMO exactly a guy we needed in our lineup. A guy that can constantly get on base for our power hitters. Enough of the solo dingers. And not to mention... Tapia can fkin run! He'll be a nightmare for catchers (wish Yankees still had Sanchez). Don't know anything about the prospect we got but looks like the FO snagged a real good one. If your mad about this trade, give your head a shake. We just got rid of a double play machine and his ugly contract.
