  1. This FO might be different but, historically, the Jays haven't given much credence to the extra year of service.None of Stroman,Sanchez,Osuna, or Travis were held back.
  2. Nothing to complain about really.Aside from a couple minor blips(Storen,Morales, come to mind)almost everything they've done to date has worked out in their favor. They've made vast improvements to the bench and bullpen while giving very little in return.IMO what they've done is really all that could be expected without giving up major pieces and/or boosting payroll significantly. I would have loved to have seen a Boone Logan type lefty added to the pen,but other than that,I don't see where they could have made as significant strides and not given up much more than they have.
  3. Bringing in Barnes directly after an Estrada start was a mistake imo. They are both primarily FB/CH pitchers.Estrada is probably the best FB/CH pitchers in the league so bringing any reliever in with a similar repertoire directly after him is setting them up for failure. Watching Gibbons find more and more creative ways to lose ballgames is getting harder to do by the day.
  4. Lets hope so.He did go 3-5 with a homer and a walk so there's that.
  5. One year 8.5M and not worth a qualifying offer.
  6. I wonder if Gubbons even knows Cecciliani played both games of a double header in Rhode Island yesterday?Even if they were only 7 innings each that's a lot of ball and a decent flight in less than 24 hours.
  7. Martin hopping around one one foot was the first clue you dozzy fck.The second clue would be Dickey starting tomorrow and the off day on thursday would be enough days off for Martin to start today if he wasn't banged up.
  8. You're both a little dense. If you'd had bothered to watch the games you'd have seen Martin get spiked at a play at the plate and Pillar jam his wrist sliding into second. In the future i would suggest you both try making sure your brains are loaded before shooting your mouths off.
  9. Teams use innings as a general guideline.Pitch count is how they actually keep tract.Including warmups, side sessions, etc. Then they add in stressfull innings and stuff like that.
  10. There are arguments for both sides, That philosophy didn't work out so good for the Marlins and Strasburg.
  11. Innings out of the pen are not calculated the same as starter innings.
  12. I like this but would expand it to where dickey piggy backs all of Sanchez,Stroman and Hutchison's starts.Stagger the rotation so any one of the 3 pitches every second night.Optimally they trade for a starter then Dinkey could just piggyback with Stroman and Sanchez. You could also put Hutch in the pen and have two long men for that roll.Although if he were smart Bean would be asking for Hutch in a trade for Hill so........ Should be plenty of options regardless.
  13. worldchamps2015 actually. Although i've often held similiar view as anemicOffence.
  14. In the shower after staying to long in the sauna.
  15. Or we could just hope Martin doesn't slip while bending over for the soap again.
  16. If you'd have cared to read the whole post i said the better alternative to Lucroy and Will Smith would be Chooch and Logan because the prospect capital would likely be half. Do all libtards have selective reading/hearing disabilities? You voted for Trudeau didn't you?
  17. Boone Logan,Carlos Ruiz and call it a day.
  18. At least for the time being i'd switch Tulo and Bautista. Gibby's a tool so it's not likely to happen but.............
  19. That's exactly why they need to trade to shore up the position. The two best options, that could be available, are Lecroy and Chooch. With the window closing possibly as soon as the 2017 season taking the chance that Martin stays healthy for the duration of the season, and playoffs, could easily end up costing a championship.
  20. If by "more than adequate" you mean replacement level then sure.If by "gutting the farm" you mean selling a bunch of overrated s*** to acquire one of the best players in baseball,at a position we are currently getting replacement level production from, then ya.
  21. Although I find your first point to be utterly absurd it's likely also true. The second is a ridiculous notion.Martin already has no trade value going forward and will most likely become a negative asset as soon as next year.Whether he plays 60 games or 100 is irrelevant. The third is simply conjecture and not worth discussing.
  22. As far as the bucks saying f*** off.....Meh they're f***ed in the head if they don't trade Lucroy soon. They wont be a contending team during his tenure.Unless they are very sure they can extend him they would be beyond stupid not to move him.
  23. You're welcome to your opinion.I think it's an excellent idea to try to preserve Martin considering his age and how many years he still has left on his contract. It's not like Lucroy isn't a huge upgrade on Martin.Considering Martin is in the midst of a barely above replacement level season.
  24. It's really only bad asset management if you think the speks I listed will turn into something. I personally think there isn't much there other than name value.
