    How did the 2008 jays team, who could barely muster up 1 run a game, all of sudden start hitting with a new manager and coaches? They had the same players throughout the year

    All i see is " Gibbons didnt lose the game" .".it's not Gibbons fault".. Let's say the above is true. Do we want to settle for a manager that doesnt lose a game or do you want a manager that puts the team in the best position to win. I dont get the love of mediocrity

    Thats the difference between between good management and bad. Francona goes through scenarios. He thinks ahead. Do you think Gibbons actually went through any of those scenarios prior to the game?

    He has to be fired. It's nice to see what a real manager is like. With a couple of half decent bats and a make shift rotation. Getting the job done with intelligence and fundamentals

    They were so careful with machado and groove a fastball inside to the homerun leager. Why wven risk coming inside. As soon as martin setup inside i knew something bad was gonna happen

    Look at 2008 season for the proof that a manager/coaches make a difference. Or you can look at the 1000s of other examples through sports history

    Jays don't make the playoffs, i comsider it one of the worst managing performances ever. With an all star lineup and the amazing starting pitching they got. As bad as Gibbons part 1 with Gary Denbo. Gibbons part 2 almost over

    The last couple of days is a great example to anyone that thinks a manager/coach doesnt matter. Todays loss is a directly on Gibbons. The over use and miss use of his relievers is below minor league level. 5-1 last night using Osuna. Cant wait til hes fone. Attrocious

    Anyone who doesnt believe Gibbons needs to be fired is dreadfully lost. A man who's biggest compliment as a manger is that "he didnt lose the game for the jays" how bout a major league manager that helps to win games. How bout a manager who wasnt sitting at home begging to be hired as a waterboy by AA and was shocked when offered a mangerial position. What a total waste of an all star team on paper. Explain to me...If Gibbons was even below average why was he siting at home with no job. Why has he never managed another club? What would Cleveland's record be with Gibbons managing a team with a tenth of the talent of the jays. What if the Jays had Francona? This feels much like another sinking ship. Who will be writing on the board this time?

    Dont want to bunt. Fine. Then don't score. If they make the playoffs there will be times where they will need to move runners over but they cant. Major league manager anytime soon please

    All is great though right? We are still in first. Gibbons is a great manager. When the jays finally let gim go, he'll have a top tier managing job waiting for him correct?
