    Thinking about it…. Shapiro won’t fire Schneider. Because then he’d be admitting to two mistakes or failures. Montoyo and Schneider. So the logical move would be Atkins. But will Shapiro do this to his little boy wonder?

    Caleb Joseph post game made a comment to Jamie Campbell that around the 50 game mark GMs know what their team is about and if scuffling - they will drop a bomb and make big moves. I think he was hinting at certain players being sent down. Hint hint Manoah and Biggio.

    Oh Kirk is most definitely out of shape. KK the only one that really hussles. Well, him and Chapman. Another reason Atkins should be fired….for keeping Schneider as the manager after that debacle in the playoff game! Then he makes rash trades that are coming back to bite us!

    Not related to this game but can we talk about Schneider’s continued use of Garcia? He sucks yet JS keeps rolling him out there even when games are close.

    One thing I’ve been wondering about these days is how guys like Bassitt and Gausman feel about what’s transpiring here. They signed thinking they were coming to a contender. It’s been a total disaster this season. Atkins MUST go.

    Re 1. Just how bad was Gueriel in LF? Seems to me like the FO was intent on upgrading the defence but the cost has been huge. Too huge clearly. Re 2. I think Atkins’s thinks he upgraded the bullpen by trading for Swanson. Not a great trade IMO. Re Manoah…what are the chances he was using the sticky stuff the last couple seasons?

    I agree. Keeping Kirk over Moreno will be the black mark of this FO. Just terrible. Also Springer should be at least DHing today. Giving up on the season? How much longer until Schneider is fired?

    I agree with this. But I guess they had to save face after the Montoyo fiasco. And holy sh*t, I just looked at the standings and the Jays are last in the AL East. Wonder what the next moves will be. Heads have to roll.
