  1. In a way Montoyo really is a genius at f***ing things up. In one grand move he pisses off Chatwood by giving him a shot at the closer role then kneecapping him, while probably destroying any confidence that Bergen had. Montoyo will justify putting Bergen in by ejaculating over Bergen’s sub 2 Era. Don’t worry about that 5.60 fip. And of course lefty lefty ugh. And finally how badly does he f*** up his credibility with the team? Pretty tough to have confidence in a guy that always pulls the wrong levers. It is pretty sad really, this is a good young team that has competed well despite having to deal with the minor league ball park, injuries and a tough early schedule. The team is a couple pitchers and a competent manager away from being a playoff team. I know some think the jays weren’t going to compete this season so no big deal but I disagree. They are right in the race despite all of the ******** so far this season. A front line starter, a couple bullpen pieces and a magic 8 ball for a manger and watch out.
  2. Just a thought here and maybe this has been the front offices thinking all along but the next manager of the Blue Jays should be John Schneider. He has won a championship at every level he has managed with the jays(Vancouver, Lansing and New Hampshire). Maybe they wanted him to get a couple seasons in the majors as a bench coach before handing him the reigns. If that is the plan they should expedite it ASAP. If it isn’t they should seriously consider it.
  3. Sidell coming as close to saying “this was the stupidest f***ing decision Montoyo could make” without losing his job lol
  4. So Montoyo decides to do something different out of the blue and use Chatwood instead of Romano to close the game. Romano hasn’t been blowing games so not sure why the change but Chatwood has been nails in his role so should be ok. Of course he struggles in a different role and after shoving him into a new role Montoyo cuts him doen at the knees for some dumpster fire who belongs in the minors or bagging groceries if he wasn’t left handed. That s*** is gold and par for the course. What a f***ing joke.
  5. Hahaha, Yeah fair enough, my preference was Espinal swinging away just bored and thinking up crazy ideas
  6. What a stooge!!! Just a fun thought here, if a person was hell bent on making that bunt play how about this? A quick glance at baseball reference shows Ryu had more successful sac bunts in 2019 then Espinal has had in his career including minors. I recall watching a YouTube video about the success Ryu, Meada and Kershaw had in 2019 in regards to sac bunting. So get Ryu to lay down the bunt use Gurriel and Biggio accordingly off the bench and if Montoyo’s theory that a successful bunt gets the win there you have it.
  7. Yeah not too many players bunt well. I would guess some of the best at it are National League starting pitchers. I totally agree that it is very difficult especially if it isn’t ever worked on. My call would have been for Espinal to swing away but unfortunately I nor about a million others couldn’t make that decision for chuckles.
  8. 100% agreement here, the guy just knows all the exact wrong moves to make. As an aside If i were a fringe bench player like Espinal i would get my bunting and any other overlooked skill on lockdown to try and make myself more valuable to the team. I know it’s just a guess based on body language but he does not bunt well and gives me the impression he doesn’t think he should have to.
  9. All of the bullpen injuries really haven’t helped the cause so far this season. As to the starting rotation, I had read somewhere Atkins stating they didn’t want to block any of their young arms by signing more free agents. I think they were hoping Hatch was going to take a step forward and possibly Stripling and kay as well. The Hatch injury is unfortunate and neither Stripling or Kay have been very strong. The time is fast approaching that the front office has to make some moves. The bats have been good despite injuries and 1-3 in the rotation along with the healthy members of the bullpen have been performing well. I understand not wanting to rush Manoah but if he continues pitching lights out in triple A for a couple more starts it is time to see what he has in the show. The other option should be to move the timeline up a little bit on trading for a front line starter and another bullpen arm. Tougher this far from the deadline but teams make early moves every year. Hopefully Pearson can get something going as well but I don’t think the FO should count on anything from him and if he does come up and pitch well that is a luxury. Tough loss tonight....6 runs on two hanging breaking balls. Hopefully the boys rebound and f*** up the Rays.
  10. f*** Pat Tabler is the dumbest **** currently sucking up oxygen on the planet.
  11. Yeah it seems that way. I’ve been a pretty big fan of how the team has been constructed by Shapiro and Atkins minus a couple hiccups. Montoyo’s line ups and in game decisions however are questionable if I’m being kind. I heard that reanimated corpse Pat Tabler say on the broadcast that with all the injuries for the team to be above .500 is all on Charlie. I don’t know what these people are seeing or what i am missing with the guy. His explanations for some of his decisions amount to “I had a feeling and my ******* quivered so i dropped panik into the 5 hole tonight.”
  12. Yeah I figured the lefty thing was playing a big part of it. At some point you would think management will face the fact his negative production outweighs any of the perceived benefit of his left handed bat. As to Espinal being a s***** hitter, Maybe he will be but he has put up a roughly 115-120 wrc+ in the minors the past couple years. I don’t think it is outside the realm of possibility he could hit a little bit if given the opportunity. Small sample I know but he is putting up a 126wrc+ right now.
  13. I was under the impression that Shatkins are big analytics guys and Montoyo allegedly has the Rays golden touch. I know the sample size is pretty small at this point but Espinal has been a plus defender at 3rd and actually provided a bit of value with his bat whereas Panik is a negative defender at third and with the bat. 840% fielding percentage at 3rd and -2.0 def war overall before his performance tonight. At what point do you think they reward Espinal and make what certainly appears to be the correct decision and move him up in the depth chart over Panik?
  14. Jansen needs to take a page out of Joey Votto’s book and choke up with two strikes. He was days late on every pitch.
  15. Swing and a miss
  16. Well that's not very Christmas'ey... Ya f***ing ****
  17. Longtime lurker ... I am interested in joining. Is it a cash league or free?
