What underlying stats are you looking at that says Drury is anything more than a replacement level utility guy. Serious question

Drury has been a bad fielder everywhere he's played: 2B, 3B, LF, RF. He projects for a 92 wRC+. He's Devon Travis and Solarte, but worse in basically every category.

Would much, much prefer a few lotto tickets in the low minors to another replacement level 2B

Drury is a ~26 year old bad baserunner and bad fielder who projects to be a below average hitter and replacement level overall. I don't see the upside or value at all, unless you expect a 1 in 1000 Josh Donaldson type breakout.

Why did Bo not play in the AA all star game last night?

Was looking through the minor league stats and noticed that Bo is tied for 11th in Stolen Bases in the entire minors. Pretty impressive for a guy who FG gives a 45 speed.

Yeah the latter part of my post was more of a semi-related hypothetical... The combo of a high IQ, excellent passing D man is very intriguing. I could see how a lack of elite skating could be an insurmountable hurdle for a smaller D-man, but on the other hand it allows us to pick a player at 29 who has the other tools to be a very valuable player. I’m very pleased.

I really like the pick. I don’t know much about hockey but it seems like smart, undersized puck moving D may be the wave of the future instead of the slow big bodies of the past. I’ve always wanted to see a team at some level scrap the traditional 3 forward, 2 D lineup and just go with 5 highly skilled, quick, dynamic players and try to dominate possession.

I’m really not too familiar with other teams farm systems outside of the top 20 or so overall prospects. What do you guys think the Jays would have to give up hypothetically for Happ from their own farm system? I think that would help some of us gauge his value.

Would love to see Groshans have a blazing start to his career similar to what Bo did a couple years ago
