  1. JD needs to settle back into things now, seems to be off for the last little while even with the long bomb last night.
  2. Smoak there it is, thought he was bound to blow even with a 3-0 count !
  3. Guess Tole will be spending a few days in Bluefield once again.
  4. Most likely for the playoffs at least , with expanded rosters for September there is no issue with Tole sticking around , but come October get him of out of here.
  5. Is the National League still turnstile or did they align with the AL?
  6. Here is for the three game series vs. the Angels: Tuesday: 46,696 Wednesday: 44, 404 Thursday: 46, 273 Not sure where over 2,000 went from Tuesday to Wednesday night and then pretty much showed up again the next night. I wonder what the threshold is for the Jays to consider a game a sellout?
  7. I have never thought that, the roof status having that much of a effect on the resale market. Now yesterday the weather was pretty terrible pregame. Did not stop me from heading down, but can see how some would decide it was Not a night to make a last minute call to head down and grab a ticket. In some ways I do not get Jays attendance, from one night to the next it can drop by 1,500-2,000 and got right back up again the third night of a three game series. Just look at the Angels series as an example. What's the deal with this?
  8. At least they are using using head to head etc now to figure it all out rather than coin flips which they did previously up to 2008. Tiebreakers have been played 11 times in the past. A three or more team tiebreaker has never been needed but it has been close in the past. I don't know what happened in the past but how the heck would a team handle ticket sales for one of these? All you have to look at is see that the Jays last series of the season is at Boston. For instance the Blue Jays FO could very likely have no idea they are hosting a game the next day until 7 pm Sunday night.
  9. Yes, Jays stay in first after a little sloppy D by the Redsox, with Baltimore hot on their heels a game back.
  10. Only one early weekday game left at home this season, Wednesday September 14 vs. Tampa. 12:37 first pitch.
  11. The worst weather for NYC of the day is actually pegged for mid-morning lunch time with it improving in the afternoon. There is a chance of some rain during the game, especially around 8 pm. We shall as we all know weather can be quite unpredictable at times.
  12. Five tiers of pricing, man that's a bit of a stretch in my opinion. Prior to Dynamic pricing, if I remember correctly there were three categories, premium, regular and value. I am getting the sense they maybe letting things like getting over 40K for a weekday San Diego game to their head. In truth Dynamic pricing only works for teams that are doing well, and tiers like this go along the same line. 500 level seats this year have ranged from $16 to $30, which not too long ago were going for $9. It would only take a bad season or two for this whole model to go to s***.
  13. The one thing with last year that baffled me was the market for ALDS game 5 tickets right after they went down 0-2. I picked one up in the 500 level for $50-60, somewhere in there. I never understood why some people were lowering their price at that point for an if necessary game because one of two things were going to happen, the Jays loose on of the next two games at Texas thus get a full refund or have a hot ticket that people will want. On the other hand I totally understand why the floor fallout on tickets for game five of the ALCS.
  14. Well, it looks like pricing has not really gone up all that match from the 2015 post-season. The cheapest strip has only gone up $90. http://toronto.bluejays.mlb.com/tor/ticketing/postseason_seating_map_and_prices.jsp I think the secondary market this year could be very different because you won't have people holding a high number of tickets to the same level. Question, how many season ticket holders actually are there, 20K if that. The lowest attended game this year was 23,726 back in April as a point of reference.
  15. Dickey starts are always nerve racking for me, you just never know what direction they are going to take, eight solid inning or an offering of wild pitchs, walks and getting hit hard. Glad for this series I decided to make my one road trip of the season for Tuesday and Wednesday, knowing now Estrada and Happ will be starting. After the show the Jays offence put on today, will be fun to see them in the Bronx, shwoing us how it's done.
  16. Let's Go Jays, let's end this honest and on a massive high note before heading down to the Bronx.
  17. What is there to drink on this evening? How many are getting up for an early trek down to the dome for the All-Time winning pitchers bobble head I wonder?
  18. Yes it is, traveling from New York to Cleveland. Looking forward to hitting up The Jays at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  19. Love Grill Cheese's emotion. I am getting hungry !
  20. Bring back Mr. Just Like Mom Fergie Oliver in his place. ( :
  21. That notion brings back memories of those toonie Tuesday nights the Jays in the 2000's. What a disaster those became. For one thing I had a number of friends who would go no where near those games.
  22. Stayed in the same hotel as the Jays a few years back in Baltimore, The Hilton just past the outfield fence.
  23. I bought an ALDS game 5 single on stubhub after the Jays went 0-2 to start the series for around $60US way up in the rafters of the 500 level. I am still shaking my head why one would have listed tickets for Game 5 at that time because for the game to be played the Jays would have either had a made a big comeback or if not you simply would have got a refund. Tickets had only one way to, that was up.
  24. Is Prince a Hall of Famer when you consider he career being injury shortened? Players in all sports who have ended their careers due to injury have been deemed worthy of the hall of fame, it al lesst has to be worthy of a conversation.
