  1. not sure about this comment...Royals are fundamentally sound, move runners, manufacture runs, play good defense and have great pitching Blue Jays hit home runs....that's it
  2. I'm new to the Forum and this is my first post. Been a Blue Jay fan since 1983. I have seen and heard many things, especially on ESPN, about how Gibbons made a mistake putting Price in Game 4 and how Price is going to remember that and be ticked off. I know it's easy to say now but even at the time in Game 4 up 7-1 I was 100% for bringing Price in at that point. The main reason being that Texas lit him up in this series and although he is a fabulous regular season pitcher he does not seem to be able to calm his nerves in post season. With that relief appearance he pitched 9 innings in the series and gave up 8 runs. Why on earth would you want that starting Game 5?? Sorry if his ego was bruised but given the stats and information, Gibbons did the perfect thing. Price was visibly nervous in Game 1 so imagine how shaky he would have been in Game 5. Plus, now you have given a bright, young pitcher (Stroman) the confidence for the next series and for his career that he in fact is a #1 pitcher. Great job to Gibbons for knowing the right thing to do. Especially if Price isn't coming back next year anyway Thoughts?
