    Got to find a way to hang on to Biggio until at least 2024. Once roboumps come in, Biggio will be a revelation. Book it.

    True Atkins doesn’t prioritize relief arms but the pen has been a point of contention two years in a row. He may change his approach this off season. With that said he may also wait until the trade deadline next season before moving any catcher. That way he can evaluate if Berrios and Kikuchi are having bounce back seasons or s***ing the bed again. Come August 1 next season a starter may be the bigger need. Atkins is smart so he may exercise prudence and wait unless he gets an offer he can’t refuse for one of the catchers this off-season. Should be an interesting winter.

    I was going to go that route as well at the risk of making things up. Look, I am a Jansen fan. One of my favourite players on the team. Doesn’t mean we can’t look at them critically.

    Lol, what am supposed to discern from those videos? That he hit's everything? No he doesn't. I just looked around and this is what I found: "Lo and behold, pitchers have thrown him breaking balls 39.2% of the time in 2022, up from 29.3% of the time in 2021. This gameplan change is very sensible, as Jansen is only hitting for a .100 batting average and slugging .250 against breaking balls in 2022. As he has shown he can do damage against fastballs, he has hit 80% of his HRs over the past two seasons against fastballs, and pitchers have counter-adjusted to his pull power by throwing him more breaking balls."
