  1. Tapia: "let me help you George by sticking my glove in your line of sight"
  2. These camera angles are throwing me off:p
  3. Fvck You Rangers! [h=3]Game #1[/h]The two teams haven’t played since the opening series of the season that saw the Blue Jays win two of the three games. Friday night’s game will see Dane Dunning, who happened to be a Blue Jays draft pick back in 2013 that went unsigned, pitching against Ross Stripling. Dunning started the second game of the opening series picking up the loss when he tossed five innings surrendering three runs on five hits over five innings, which included a Bo Bichette home run. The right-hander faced the Blue Jays once before in 2021 and was more effective that outing, as he allowed just one run over five innings picking up the win, but again surrendered a Bichette home run. In total, Dunning has a career record of 1-0, with a 3.60 ERA over his two starts against the Blue Jays. As you can imagine Bichette has had the most success against Dunning as he is 3 for 6 with the pair of home runs, especially since he is one of the hottest hitters. In September, Bichette is currently 16 for 31 (.516) in seven games with eight extra-base hits and 14 RBI. Another player to also watch for is George Springer as he was 2 for 2 against Dunning in their first matchup.

  5. The manager should be able to deploy his players how he sees fit. MLB is going to micromanage the s*** out of these games.
  6. Players have unique and varying swing planes, so I'm not convinced about launch angle being the definitive metric to analyze Vladdy. It may be a better metric to analyze a given pitcher rather than a batter based on the contact he gives up. I much prefer barrel % which also coincides with LA but LA is derivative of barrell rate to me. Start barreling up balls more and your sweet spot % and launch angle will be optimized to a players swing whatever number of degrees that is for that player. Vladdy needs to swing a lot less imo. If it's a low strike let it alone and try to draw the walk, but swing less. 2021 gave him a hero complex and now he thinks he can hit anything. He can't. All that ******** talk about the trailer/movie was indicative of his mindset. It's not going to get better for him until he fixes what's between his ears (his approach). Ballplayers do not live on natural talent alone. Then again, he's still a kid...
  7. The team must designate two infielders for each side of second base and they cannot switch (for example, a team can't have a stud defender move back and forth based upon the handedness of the hitter). Why do they give a flying fadoo which infielder is on what side of second base? As long as two two on each side that should be it. Stop trying to make to make the game "better".
  8. I remember this. Thank God Bobby the Brain Heenan was able to revive Andre.
  9. I thought after August 31 he would only be eligible IF he is replacing someone who was on the 40 man roster who is on the IL.
  10. Pearson's injury woes will soon be over. Atkins and the Blue Jays health sciences braintrust have employed a strategy which will keep Nate off the sidelines and on the field.
  11. Even with Gurriel out this team seems to be in a good place. I'll take 80% of Whit Merrifield from 2020 if he can muster it. Just need a Rays losing streak now.
  12. Not hard enough apparently:( Last 30 games... Gurriel .240/.287/.322 Tapia .233/.250/311 Merrifield .188/.246/234
  13. I guess. Hopefully Biggio gets his fair share of playing time in the outfiield.
  14. Unless his replacements are even worse.
  15. Great series win! On to Texas.
  16. Heart of their order though
  17. Imagine if someone showed Kirk what a sit-up was? #Cooperstown
  18. Kirk is a s*** disturber on the basepaths!
