  1. TL, If he's fake account he also had Gausman last time to the Jays before anyone else. Oh well... Welcome back btw.
  2. Nimmo's injuries were kind of wierd though. Collapsed lung and then he had some sort of disc in his neck problem. So yeah he is sort of suspect. I think Atkins will be using his trade chips for arms and spending on an outfielder. He has to spend first though to get the jump on other teams. I know it's a minority opinion but going with Benintendi and giving Springer another year in CF isn't the worst thing in the world. Especially if you don't want to overpay for Nimmo, which you kind of have to if you want him.
  3. Here is Nimmo's savant page. I don't know if anyone has yet looked at his spray charts and hit types to see how he would fare against no shift next season. If the Jays are truly all in on him I'm sure they've analyzed that already.
  4. That's not a given yet imo. Big wait and see I think.
  5. Boboa was the Mets beat writer for years. He’s tied in. It could also be Nimmo’s agent trying to put the squeeze on the Mets by leaking this to his media buddy.
  6. He kept the pop/soda machines full. Hell of a run.
  7. Why open old wounds? If you must know it was Terms second wife not his current. Jays Winterfest luncheon from years back. Jansen was a rookie and was using contact lenses for the first time. Their eyes met from across the room and well, the rest is history. The heart wants what the heart wants. Being the discreet fellow I am, I will say no more without Terminator’s approval. The less said of this sordid affair the better.
  8. The Mariners sunflower seed budget will have to triple. Atkins is is playing 4d chess.
  9. Pickings are slim. Benintendi or bust.
  10. Nimmo would be a great get but I think we would be bidding against both NY teams so it would have to be an overpay. Why not go after Benintendi instead? That’s more of an Atkins type move. Benintendi would be a good fit.
  11. If we consider the ticket price for higher end relievers in the current market and factor in the years of control this is a win for the Jays. Hopefully it is just the first domino in a string of moves before spring training. It’s not a sexy move but it’s logical.
  12. Got to find a way to hang on to Biggio until at least 2024. Once roboumps come in, Biggio will be a revelation. Book it.
  13. True Atkins doesn’t prioritize relief arms but the pen has been a point of contention two years in a row. He may change his approach this off season. With that said he may also wait until the trade deadline next season before moving any catcher. That way he can evaluate if Berrios and Kikuchi are having bounce back seasons or s***ing the bed again. Come August 1 next season a starter may be the bigger need. Atkins is smart so he may exercise prudence and wait unless he gets an offer he can’t refuse for one of the catchers this off-season. Should be an interesting winter.
  14. Well, the Phillies had a hell of a post season run. Congrats Dusty and the Astros.
  15. Yordan with the biggest hit of his career.
