  1. They're teeing off on Berrios. Lucky so far.
  2. Springer is a professional rally killer at this point.
  3. To hell with the vetrin presents....let the kids play!
  4. Ugh...2024 is not the summer of George.
  5. Sacs are juiced! Can we take advanatage?
  6. Someone should have pasted this lineup in the bold predictions thread before the season. Are we on plan b or c or d for the Shapiro/Atkins administration? Who can tell, stay tuned.
  7. I'll take the fat man today. .....oh, more specific? Kirk
  8. Factor out randomness? Randomness is just a term we use as a placeholder because we don't know all the variables in any particular situation. As you yourself have noted, there are far too many variables for any model to be complete. Hence we live in a world of probabilities.
  9. Our guys are rarely rounding third this season.
  10. I am assuming that John Schneider has final say on his lineup card. As I said at the end of last seasons playoff debacle: the man is an oaf.
  11. Vladdy - 4 Points Varsho - 4 Points Jansen - 6 Points - Spanky, Omar Turner - 6 Points Springer - 8 Points Horwitz - 12 Points Kiner-Falefa -14 Points Kiermaier - 14 Points Barger - 16 Points The Bench (Any PH): 20 Points
  12. You know times are tough in Blue Jay land when we have to pull the bjmb hr contest at the end of June.
  13. This is fine but it doesn't answer my question. As you yourself wrote, "but for some reason". You know what that reason is? I think it has something to do with Atkins selling snake oil. While Springer was looking washed these past months Lukes was on the farm putting up .949 ops. and not getting a sniff. It really doesn't matter what kind of numbers he puts up, he isn't going to get the call. Why, because Atkins knows that other than perhaps DS, Orelvis, and perhaps Tiedemann the farm system is a mirage. That's why he won't have a fire sale at the deadline. He knows the resulting lineup will produce horrendous results. It's a bitter truth. Barger, Horwitz, Clement are not saviours, they're place holders.
  14. CD please...you know what that stuff does to your neocortex?
  15. One of the few games I missed this season. Looks like I picked a good night to take off. Lots of gloomy Gus' in this thread.
  16. June 14 Vladdy - 2 Points Varsho - 2 Points Jansen - 3 Points - Dylan Schneider- 3 Points - Omar Turner - 3 Points Springer - 4 Points Bichette - 4 Points Kiner-Falefa - 7 Points Clement - 8 Points The Bench (Any PH): 10 Points
  17. The long game could be that they fall out contention big time and have a plan b or c to move Bichette
  18. This org doesn't seem to trust their AAA numbers or puts little stock in them. Who knows why?
  19. I don't see how this is going to make a difference in terms of the overall competitive balance tax. The threshold for 2024 as per the collective bargaining agreement is $237 million for fiscal 2024. It looks like the Jays will end up at around 224 million for this season barring, any considerable addition at the trade deadline. So it looks like they're in the clear in terms of the competitive balance tax for this year.
