  1. Watching the parade right now. It's a beautiful day, sunny and warm and millions of fans are cheering on their 2016 World Series Champions - The Chicago Cubs. All is right with my world.
  2. Hell of a game........living up to every single prediction...........ain't baseball grand. GO CUBBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. Bye bye Jake...........here comes Montgomery.........hopefully he can stop this right now.
  4. Well s***.....there goes the shut-out........on a wild pitch too, darn it.
  5. A tit for tat shut-out would be nice especially in the Tribe's ballpark.
  6. Great to see the Cubbies come back after yesterday's lack of offense. 5 zip in the 6th..................lookin' good. GO CUBBIES!
  7. Yee haw cubbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. 5 zip Cubbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ha, ha Kershaw...........who looks like the better pitcher now Dodgers. GO CUBBIES GO!
  9. Cubbies rocked the Dodgers tonight......mind you some sloppy play by LA didn't help them but the Cubs' bats were hot and the Dodgers just couldn't manufacture runs. Rock on Cubs! 10 - 2 going into the 9th............think the Dodgers will come back..............hah..........think again.
  10. Cubbies are looking good so far..........up 5 zip bottom of the 5th. Dodgers are burning through their bullpen. Lackey in for Chicago. Good game.
  11. I have a hard time not liking the Indians. Can't say as there is a single one that has done anything untoward. That said, I really hope they come out on the losing end today.
  12. You bet we are. It's 7 game series fps...........the Jays are going to fight their way back into this. I BELIEVE. GO JAYS, GO!
  13. Kershaw is lights out good..............damn it. Cubs have only allowed 1 run but that's all it took as Clayton is shutting the bats down almost effortlessly........he's thrown 72 pitches in 6 innings.
  14. Question - when the series goes back to TO will we have Pat and Buck back or are we stuck with this crew for the series.
  15. Tim and Sid are rocking today. There's so much going on in the games and the camera angles we get don't always show things like Smelly's stupid flip, I have come to rely on the guys to show bits like that. Loved Sid's good bye to Texas.
  16. Cleveland
  17. You are so right about Zeke being under rated. The little guy keeps getting it done and always with that big happy smile on his face. I sure hope we can hold onto him - age shouldn't be a factor.
  18. With so many great players on the team it can be hard to chose a favorite but early on Brett Cecil captured my attention and I quickly became a huge fan. Maybe he wasn't the 'bringer of rain' or 'superman pillar' or Edwing but there was something about him - his steadiness on the mound, his composure and ability to deliver when it really mattered that had me in his corner all the way. When he was injured, I cried. When I knew he wouldn't be back for the play-offs, I was crushed. I sure hope he stays with the team because I am ordering a Blue Jays jersey with his name and number on it and I will wear proudly next year for every single game. P.S.Guys..........I'm a woman.
  19. Prior to this season I had zero interest in baseball. Figured the pace was way to slow and the game was filled with a bunch of guys who spent too much time spitting and scratching their balls. Athletes? Gimme a break. Nothing there worth wasting my time on. Then the Blue Jays - Canada's team - started hitting the news and I thought what the heck, why not take in a couple of games. By the time the third game I was watched was over, I was completely and totally hooked. I had no idea that it was this exciting or that these guys really were athletes - shame on me. I whole-heartedly jumped on the wagon and never ever thought of jumping back off no matter how dire the situation appeared - actually, the more intense it became, the more my interest was peaked. I had to see what these guys would do with their backs against the wall. They never disappointed me and I never missed a single game. After they won the ALS against the Rangers, I went out and bought myself a Blue Jay's ball cap which I proudly wore everywhere. I talked about the team every chance I got. I was involved. Watching the game last night was excruciating, they had come from behind so many times before surely they could do it again. I won't comment on the game because my knowledge of baseball is sadly lacking but I was with them all the way up to the final strike-out. I felt like crying but at the same time I couldn't help but think that this was a team that has most of the components necessary to take them all the way - they just need a few fixes here and there. They had such an outstanding season and I will be fan of theirs for all the years to come. Thank you Blue Jays.
  20. Let's Go Blue Jays................Let's Go Blue Jays...............LET'S GO! I Believe
  21. How soon can Cecil come back...........I wish he was healthy right now.
  22. Two walks for the birthday boy...........strut em' Joey.
