  1. I used to hate this...
  2. Too bad Baltimore you can't 'decline the penalty' like football. ha!
  3. Twice in two games LOL!
  4. I seem to remember the last really good one heading to Boston. Still, that's a pretty steep drop off in quality
  5. How does a major league 3rd base coach make that call. Unless he just ran on his own. Even still
  6. Amazing level of stupidity
  7. I'm pretty sure everyone on this forum is familiar with what 0 degrees feels like. I stand by the statement that the masks are f***ing silly : )
  8. I had no idea it was that extreme. Let's hope those poor bastards survive the game.
  9. wtf is up with the retarded masks? Is is really that cold in Texas?
  10. According to Chris Creamer's twitter, they'll continue to be worn beyond this season.
  11. Encarnacion's agent says Jays 'showing Edwin the most love' Paul Kinzer tells TSN his client will probably sign a contract later this week or early next week. http://www.tsn.ca/encarnacion-s-agent-says-jays-showing-edwin-the-most-love-1.619496
  12. Honestly no. But he's the G.M. of record so he gets credit. I have no love for Shapiro either. I trust him about as far as I could throw A.A.s chubby little body. A Rogers stooge. The dismantling of this team will be sad to watch.
  13. I sure don't know the guy personally but from the few interviews I've listened to he certainly doesn't instill any level of confidence as a G.M. He seems pleasant enough but comes across as a bit slow. I guess time will tell. This trade doesn't leave a great first impression.
  14. I was paraphrasing one of his responses but that's how I interpreted it. Which makes sense if a GM were to proposes some outlandish trade or signing but possibly what drove AA away. It was just asked again in the sportsnet interview and he skirted the answer. If the GM had the ultimate decision (somebody has to), why wouldn't he just say so? Either way I'm not sure we learned much about him today other than Gibson is staying for now (ugh) and he won't restrict himself to 5 year contracts (good news). He mostly spoke in generalities and cliches. Maybe McCowan will do better than the "reporters" did today.
  15. So the answer to GM autonomy is no. As long as the GM's decision makes sense (ie. Shapiro agrees), he'll sign off.
  16. He must be laughing inside at the number of softballs lobbed his way today given the expectation he likely had after the past week.
  17. Of course it would have to be the sox to cool off the jays.
