    You need to compare athletes in an era with other athletes in that same era. 90 years ago I bet very few MLB players spent much time working out. Ruth fit right into that. Today though? Vladdy does not fit into what the idea of an MLB athlete should be.

    My guess is the players dig their heels in, puff out their chests, fire back at Manfred, but take no responsibility for their role in this.

    So Manfred threatening to shut down the season if the MLBPA doesn't get their s*** together and start getting the Covid rules to be followed. High fiving. Not wearing masks in the dugout. Poor decision making by the players.

    I love how the are two polar opposite sides to this Fatty Guerrero Jr debate. "He's a f***ing fat, no defense, groundball machine" Vs. "Eat s***. He's only 21, learning a new position, in the hardest League in the world" And neither side will even entertain for a second that the other side has an argument to be made.
