Weren't some people here saying the Jays would still not draw a lot more especially on weeknights even if they are contenders? Looks like that's wrong.
Again i don't know what MJ means or is referring too? Care to explain? Says the law of averages? Common sense? There is no risk free proposition here..... either way carries risk. Not every pitcher becomes Verlander. If you are always afraid to take risks you may as well give up.
Look what taking a risk on Price as a rental has done for the team and excitement around the Jays? A big FA signing once in awhile is not going to cripple a franchise. People have been clamouring for the Jays to take a risk for years.
False Equivalency, Price is not Verlander. There is risk involved in anything, but the chances that price becomes a Verlander are slim. Going another route is just as risky and may not pay off either. There are no guarantees.
Does anyone know what was wrong with Buerhle? They mentioned he never felt well so they just wanted to give him extra days rest, was it just cold/flu symtoms?
I don't get the apprehension to sign price to a huge contract, in 2-3 seasons if the jays window closes we can deal price for top notch prospects, someone would always be willing to take on a guy like price at the age of 32-33.
