  1. "I'll tell you, from what I saw yesterday, Julio Jones is a football player" - Buck Martinez
  2. Oh yeah. I'm not talking about most pathetic I've ever seen, though. I never really cared to pay attention to Toronto crowds other than the few sell outs in the years prior to this one and the ton of empty crowds in the late 2000's.
  3. Especially a Braves ticket in a ballpark that's getting burned down after this year (they're moving out AGAIN).
  4. Oh my goodness, and I thought that the Yankees Saturday crowd and Tampa's everyday crowds were pathetic... and now this crowd...
  5. Adam Morgan, who has been one of the worst pitchers in baseball post ASB, owns us twice. And then Gallardo, right up there with horrible post-ASB pitchers this year, did well in Texas. Anyways, we really beat Teheran around last time. Hopefully the same here.
  6. Hopefully we won't have to hear that really stupid and racist tomahawk chopping crap all the damn time. Too much to ask for?
  7. I'd like Samardzija and Zimmermann very much in that case. Samardzija would be a good buy low. Look at his pitch usage this year compared to previous. For some odd reason, Don Cooper is being an idiot and having him use the cutter far more than normal and the 4 seamer far less than normal. That cutter is really getting hit around and not very effective. Zimmermann is pretty much a lock for 3+ year in and year out. You could expect reasonable for Shark and Zimmermann to combine for 6+ and provide multiple waves of depth, while Price, will probably give you 5.5-6, but that also means throwing a negative out there on the mound in the 5 spot (Sanchez). Anyways, re: Heyward, I wouldn't mind him at all at 7-8 years since he's only 26.
  8. Pennington's bat is about 20 shades of awful. In the last 4 years among all qualified hitters, Pennington has the 20th WORST wRC+ in all of baseball (9th worst among all qualified SS). He is legitimately a liability with the bat. Barney can at least do something. Not to mention Barney is actually better defensively than Pennington at 2B.
  9. BJ was really one of the biggest enigma's in his prime. He was always good defensively, but everyone knew he was capable of so much more than what he was offensively since his rookie year. It was just a steady fall backwards from amazing offensively, to bad, to merely good offensively, and finally to just absolute ass since leaving Tampa. If he just gave more of a f*** out there and wasn't as lazy and immature as he was, he could've been a perennial all star.
  10. I meant by the Royal's antics... certainly not by their pitching LOL. 2 grand slams, 10 runs in the inning. That's pretty.... conflictingly awesome. Conflicting because f*** the O's, but awesome because... well, yeah, the couldn't happen to a nicer team.
  11. Meanwhile, news that will shock everyone: A Royals pitcher threw at somebody! This time, Morales at Chris Davis. Showalter was pissed and got tossed. Now I LOATHE the O's... but given this is the 6th time the Royals have tried to or have started s*** with another team this year, I can't give KC the benefit of the doubt and have to side with the O's on this one. Now, to take a hot shower and wash the dirtiness of that last bit off. That said, do I feel bad for the O's at all being victimized? Hahahahahaha, nope.
  12. As much as that really, really sucks to see someone suffer that significant and serious of an injury... so glad we don't have to deal with him in their lineup 7 more times.
  13. Funny enough, I loathe the O's, but at least they're not the Baltimore sports team that basically deified and made a statue of a murderer. That's the only time you will hear me talk about the O's in a positive light.
  14. What a season Votto's been having this year too. He's pretty much totally exploded on field as well.
  15. I wonder if anyone had Colabello hitting a HR with Kawasaki and Hague on base happening during the regular season..
  16. That stupid commercial makes me feel like punching holes through walls.
  17. Hutch's next scheduled start would be in Atlanta. Yeah, Atlanta. Really, really, heinously s***** team. And guess what? I'm STILL not comfortable with him in Atlanta. Just put Buehrle in his spot from here on. Buehrle with a dead arm > road Hutch.
  18. I noticed it in the top half of the inning, just forgot to post till now.
  19. Is it just me or is there some glimmering shine coming from Kelly's left wrist? Looks like there's some, errr... substance on there.
  20. Please get Pedroia out already so Buck and Pat can stop fapping vigorously about him.
  21. Johnny Damon and Ben Revere point and laugh.
  22. Apparently, those injury concerns are just bruises from Yordano Ventura going full heel and now even throwing fastballs at his own teammates. Okay, I kid. But seriously, no thanks to Cueto. Didn't want him after those injury concerns in Cincinnati came out, and want him even less now. I'd rather buy low on Jeff Samardzija. He's struggling mostly because Don Cooper is being an idiot and having him throw that cutter far more than normal and throwing that 4 seamer far less than normal.
  23. That 3.1% HR/FB may not last too long. That ERA will shoot back up once some of those flyballs start leaving the yard.
