If he plays more games at first than in the OF this will be okay. If he is the everyday RF then there are better options.

I don't think rebuild is the right word. More like retool and cross your fingers. You trade the aging valuable veterans once you can see you're out of the hunt and then in the off season secure a few pieces and more finger crossing. Trust your drafting and hope for a surprises. Rinse and repeat.

If you listen to him in this interview and aren't please he is the GM of your team you likely need your baseball IQ checked. +11 WAR on that interview alone.

Exactly, there are cheaper options that can play adequate defense. This team should be fine for scoring runs and adding Moss or Trumbo (at first and putting Pearce in the OF) will save money and likely allow for a draft pick coming back.

Nothing to lose by sweating it out. If he was as desirable as he thinks he is then he would have had a taker already. If I am management, I only bring him back on a 1 year under his QO. Gladly take the pick. There are guys who can play better defense and this offense should be fine.

It feels more and more like he is going to sit until the summer. He seems to proud to accept the QO and T.O doesn't seem like they want to move off that. They can get someone else to play decent RF defense. The line has been drawn?

Jose likely needs an AL club so he can DH more. His outfield ability is declining and he would be an expensive bat to pinch hit. Platoon at 1b and outfield but at the cost of a pick doesnt make sense.

No research required, my name's Brian. As for Jose, I have no idea how he will perform. He seems to take care of himself but he is getting to that age and who knows what he has taken in his career. I do know he wrecked his shoulder being an ass trying to throw a guy out at first. Spanky, you run around like an ass on here. If you don't like me, no problem, don't respond.
