DJ Davis might be raw and have struggled severely with his strike zone control thus far in his career, but the tools really are impressive. His home run the other night was a shot, albeit on a pretty bad pitch... http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=102163683&sid=milb But still, a lot to like if he can control the zone more consistently (he has shown a slight improvement so far this year, still just his 21 year old season). The speed power combo is pretty special if his pitch recognition and base running ability can be improved with good coaching.

Reid-Foley and Matt Smoral have very similar stat lines over their milb careers, Smoral having about double the sample size. Based on the scouting reports around draft time it seemed that SRF was pretty polished and a bit maxed out, Smoral being more physical but less refined. So far both have them show the same dominant high strikeout and ground ball inducing potential, coupled with a high walk rate that has hindered them so far (albeit in a very small sample). Any new scouting reports on either of their stuff so far this spring?
