  1. I spewed coffee all over my keyboard reading that. thanks for that. funniest s*** I'll read all weekend. Machado is a f***ing princess.... where's the gif of him getting all whiny when Donaldson tagged him?
  2. I've always been a fan of dickey. But I big fan of the knuckleball. I'm strange like that.
  3. 1996 when I saw my first game, was a baseball fan since 1991 when my mom had season tickets for the AAA Trappers in Edmonton. We went to nearly every game including double headers during school hours (yes, I remember being pulled out of grade 7 to go down to the ball park and watch the Trappers). Then in 1996 we went to Toronto and Montreal just her and I and we took in a Jays game and an Expos game. I much preferred the Jays and found it a lot more exciting. We went to three more Jays games before I got into high-school and became...well an idiot teenager. Four years ago I started to get back into it casually and got deeper and deeper every year. Last year I watched 40% of the games, this year I think I'm around 75% of the games, and even got my wife and 2 year old son hooked too! The question now is... who do I put on my blank jersey I bought last year... Can't choose Donaldson because the wife just got it. But for me its a toss between Dickey, Price, Stroman, Osuna, Martin, Tulo, or Pillar... choices choices.
  4. Martin has had a flash of brilliance a couple of times, and I'm hoping those flashes become a nice tire fire sometime in the near future. We are only two weeks in, i'm not worried about Martin or Donaldson yet or the cold bats.
  5. those are the flames star players yes, and they are very very good. I'm more referencing the bulk of the team which are very hard workers who are consistent. Hartley has turned the team around pretty quickly, and I'm impressed. But it's not the "star power" thats got the Flames to the post-season, its the consistency. Same with the Wild. To keep it on topic, if the Jays can get that same kind of hard working blue-collar thing going on and consistently be above average instead of a roller coaster of ups and downs then I think they will be contenders. If they rely solely on offense then we are in trouble!
  6. Leafs don't have as much skill as the Jays. And the Leafs organization is in shambles. Oilers have some really flashy hands up front, but the organization is a complete and utter joke. The Jets and Flames are just blue collar hard workers with no skill, but somehow keep it above water. Vancouver = O's. 'nough said I know nothing of the Senators and I don't watch CFL or NBA.
  7. 126 row 19 if I remember correctly. right behind the dugout.
  8. I got a pair of tickets row 13 on the 3B line I bought a couple of weeks ago. But a local friend has tickets mid way up behind the plate as well. Last time I was in the dome was back in 1997, and I was along the 1B just a few rows down from the concourse. Anything is better than the LA Angels game I went too 2006 in the 400 rows.... blech!
  9. the only game I caught in it's entirety was Saturday vs' the O's. My wife and I made a deal, she watches golf one day and I could watch Jays the other day over the weekend...I obviously choose the wrong day. I still won't get to watch tonight's game as I'm stuck at work for another hour and a half. Flying down in August though to catch a home game. Trying to figure out if I want behind the plate or along 3B.
  10. my wife says I'm an idiot. but that was for wasting energy cheering for the Oilers.
  11. can't wait! Got sick and tired of watching Oilers Hockey I started getting interested in baseball and addicted to the Jays a few years back. Forgot how much I enjoyed baseball ever since the Trappers left Edmonton.... after todays "Oilers Presser" I'm looking for a team to actually play the sport they signed up for. so excited for this season!
