  1. Interesting fact I saw on twitter: Tulo had 3 RBI's and 3 Runs scored today. In Reyes's entire Blue Jays career (305 games) he did not have a single game with 3 RBI's and 3 Runs scored. I'd say he can stick.
  2. I do like the fact we are giving pitching to Colorado as it will make it a lot harder for Hoffman, Castro and Tinoco to have sustained success. Not being ill-willed towards them but it'd be nice not having people groaning about Hoffman the way they do about Syndergaard, DeSclafani etc.
  3. You don't want to trade Alford either. He has reached base in all 27 games in Dunedin with hits in 25. Profiles as dynamic leadoff hitter and potential 5 tool player. All of this despite being the first year he's focusing on baseball. (He played football at Ole Miss)
  4. Bowden on ESPN says he hears Norris, Hoffman and Pentecost are not in the trade.
  5. Worse than the fact that Carrera, Valencia, and Colabello all got significant time in the OF?
  6. http://http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/lawries-message-to-blue-jays-fans/ I can't find anywhere where this was previously posted but here's a interview of Brett Lawrie and Barry Davis from Tim & Sid earlier today. Seemed positive about the trade in general.
  7. Saw that Josh Donaldson's pitcher for the HR Derby is Bobby Tewksbary who apparently is his private hitting instructor. You know who else has worked with Tewksbary since 2010? Chris Collabello
  8. I just looked at Kemp's profile, he's somewhat similar to Vernon Wells in terms of contract and playing style. Vernon was worth roughly replacement level over his last 3 years and cost 21 million a year. In summary, I'll pass.
  9. Lol true but it's better than with Hutch who will either implode or give you 7 innings of 1 run ball. Ross is at least somewhat consistent and adding Kimbrel would be huge. Also if they did this trade there would be another trade after for a Cueto, Kazmir type.
  10. I was just thinking Ross would be a good fit but might require a big return. What about something like: Jays get: Ross, Kimbrel, and Benoit Padres get: Hutchison, Norris and Castro Sanchez slots into the rotation when he gets back. Buehrle Ross Estrada Dickey/Doubront Sanchez Kimbrel Benoit Osuna Delabar Cecil Hendriks Loup
  11. Translation: He's just a mediocre lefty and we suck.
  12. Kershaw got absolutely SNUBBED!!!!
  13. FV at 45 for Guerrero? I would have thought 50-55. I do like their risk assessment at 3 though.
  14. Side note: Adam Loewen, Canadian and former Blue Jay has struck out 10 batters in 4 innings in their series against Buffalo.
  15. Pompey 2-3, 2B, 2BB Matt Boyd 7IP, 2H, 1ER, 2BB, 4K. 3 GB/7 FB 94 pitches and 67 strikes
  16. Yes they got Brentz and Tellez because they saved money to offer Bickford over slot and when he didn't sign they had enough for Brentz, Tellez and Heidt.
  17. No reason to save money if you don't have the intention of spending it.
  18. What's happening with Donny Everett? Vandy commitment too strong?
  19. Let's hope the breaking down in tears is a good thing.
  20. I'd say Yankees are going Buehler or Kaprielian. I'll say Kaprielian
