    Damn that's a career ender, except for the fact that he has already experienced elbow issues. He's doing a good job at trying to limit the stress (reducing slider usage), but he does not have a delivery you want to emulate.

    I'm not picking him over Syndergaard. I'm saying that the best case scenario for Hoffman isn't being an upper echelon prospect in a couple of years time. The best case scenario would be him being that this season, because it is something that is attainable.

    Just gotta drive the point home that best case scenario isn't an upper echelon spect in a couple of years. He can very well reach it this year. And I just tossed top 20 because 60 FV seems more realistic. Kiley seems like a guy that would throw a 65 up though just based on his comments about Hoffman.

    Guy is on top 100 lists without throwing a pitch in pro ball. If he dummies kids this year he'll be t20 no doubt.

    I'm not denying any of that. I can only go off the radio play by play. Lefties were seeing him well and he didn't generate a ton of swinging strikes.

    Castro 3 BBs, 3 Ks through 2 IP. On a 40 pitch limit so likely done. nvm he's back in. andddd now he's out after Hague fielding error on first batter of 3rd inning. Seemed like Castro was getting ahead often but he tried to hit corners for the third strike and it extended counts.
