  1. let the record show that I was the first one to suggest osuna
  2. Sanchez Estrada Stroman Happ Osuna
  3. I'm moving to toronto in a cpl weeks, definitely gonna go to a few games down the stretch
  4. I really liked what I saw from him last night. I like his delivery. Velocity nothing to write home about, but damn the kid was hitting his spots.
  5. He'll be a starter as early as next year. Also, this is a terrible idea.
  6. I'd rather sign ricky f***ing romero
  7. I have no qualms with Corrado as a 7th / 3rd pairing D.
  8. one can only hope!!
  9. Leafs signed Roman Polak for one year. definitely not signing Russell now.
  10. our blueline is already crowded with mediocrity as it is.
  11. I don't think we will.
  12. I shouldn't have said they don't think he's good. They think he is good at a specific playing style that will help the team. As for the term, I think it's pretty inconsequential. They can buy him out at any time.
  13. well for one, they haven't even signed russell. so I am not even worried about him. The way they are looking to add talent right now is through the draft. Which so far, it looks like they have had success. They are using the free agent market to sign small complementary pieces that won't take away roles from the young studs. they have to see what they got, and they're not going to have as much of an idea what they have by bringing in free agent 2nd and 3rd liners that the kids would be playing behind. And just because they signed Martin, doesn't mean they think he's GOOD. It means they think there is a role on this team for him in Toronto. Which there may be, as there is a definitive lack of toughness on this team. A line with Komarov / Laich / Martin might be a good fit.
  14. I am actually pretty satisfied with the Leafs offseason. I haven't had a problem with any of the moves or a lack thereof.
  15. the canadiens are having a WAY worse offseason, in my IMO
  16. not at all. this team isn't ready to contend so signing "plugs" as you say is pretty much exactly what they should be doing. they're still finding their identity. I would rather them sign guys like Martin than shell out money for dudes like Backes. As for overpaying for a goalie, that remains to be seen.
  17. well this was predictably fun for like 2 seconds and only 2 seconds
  18. conditional 2nd and basically another 2nd rounder. the contract is fine. edit: the conditional second was the Rychel trade. so basically 2 second rounders. not much.
  19. because they signed a depth guy for 2.5 mil a year? also you forgot that they got a starting goalie for basically nothing. seems like a pretty decent offseason to me, especially for a rebuilding team.
