    It occurred to me last night. The theoretical call could have come from anywhere at anytime. With the clock ticking down, anytime on the last drive, maybe even before the game something was said to someone. who knows.

    This is my opinion on what happened. Think about what would happen if Lynch punches it in for the game winner. 100 + Yds and 2 TDs? Marshawn Lynch would be your Superbowl MVP. Which, of course, would be a disaster because of Lynch's toxic relationship with the Media and the NFL. Somebody made the call to throw to avoid Lynch making a mockery of the NFL. And oh boy, would he have.

    yeah that Hawks - Kings game was great. I really really hope the Leafs can keep losing. A top 5 draft pick would be HUGE for the upcoming rebuild.

    So then you're just giving Duquette a shitload of money for doing nothing for 4 years? Just to keep him from going to the Jays? That doesn't really make fiscal sense. IMO the easiest option for Angelos at this point is to just let him go if he wants to go.

    Yeah but if it gets to the point that keeping Duquette around hurts the team more than letting him go, Angelos will have to release him from the contract or something. He can't just drag Duquette kicking and screaming through the next 4 years.

    Ok so pick your poison. Duquette stays your GM for the next 4 years when he doesn't want to be there and has a terrible relationship with the owner. OR he just quits or something and the Blue Jays hire him anyways for no compensation.
