they really don't want to extend overtime because of TV scheduling and the like. If it was up to me there would be continuous OT until a winner is decided. But that will never happen.

I obviously know that he is not guaranteed to become a superstar. I'm not an idiot. I just don't see how you can see the type of talent that the kid displays and say 'oh, sports math says this so he's probably going to be average.' I think sports math is silly, I just take what I see and I use it to make the hypothesis that he's probably going to be quite good. Which will likely be the case.

McDavid might be a top 1 player in the league. Bergeron, a mid 1st rounder and a guy who MIGHT be a top 6 forward is not going to cut it at all.

I would rather see McDavid in edmonton because buffalo has a decent farm without him and it would be nice to see a canadian superstar play for a canadian team for once.

He had a good year but he wasn't anything crazy. the big thing with him is that SF was going to rely on him a lot more this year with Willis retiring and Justin Smith reported to be considering retirement as well.

Yeah I dont think the situation is completely hopeless. we do have some assets we can move and keep the future core intact.
