  1. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/close-look-daniel-norris-journey/ might not be what you are asking for its only about 5 mins long.
  2. If the roster is healthy he is our 5th or 6th outfielder or 4th or 5th option for DH. How good of a player do you really expect for that roll. Is there really any team in the league that has a 1 or 2 war player ready to step in just in case multiple guys get hurt or completely under perform expectations. He is young and has shown some flashes of potential, really I don't know what you expect from a player in that roll. If there were guys out there available that were much better than he is probably wouldn't be willing to sign on to that roll and other teams would offer better chances at giving them playing time.
  3. And a not so beastly 0.6 WAR in 376 plate appearances last season. 1.0 War in 625 plate appearances in 2012. Add to that his off-field issues and I wouldn't want him anywhere near the team for even half that 8M.
  4. Masahiro Tanaka never actually had Tommy John surgery. Which might be just as scary as if he did.
  5. No formal offers doesn't mean AA hasn't made contact with the players agent. Texas also has no state income tax so the Jays would have to pay him much more for him to receive the same value on his contract. And finally didnt AA say he didnt see the team trading any of their starters just days befor he traded Happ for Saunders. Maybe we shouldnt take everything he says about roster moves at face value.
  6. And what if god forbid Gregerson didn't want to sign with the jays? And how do you know they didnt try to sign him? The Jays play in a foreign country, in a hitters park, on a horrible surface and have the longest playoff drought in the league. Maybe the reason we so often hear about the Jays being on a players no trade list so often is that we arent the most attractive market to players. Just because the jay like a guy doesn't mean that player will like them. I hope AA can add a couple more good players but at the same time people need to accept that this team is always going to have some holes. They will never be able to add a allstar caliber player at each position. They cant spend as much as teams like the Yankees, Dodgers or Red Sox nor will they be as attractive to free agents.(unless they can start making the playoff regularly)
  7. And what if Jed Lowrie doesn't want to sign here? You seem to assume its as easy as just signing any player you want and reality doesn't quite work like that. We also dont know for sure how much is left in the budget. If it is 20m or less like is being suggested by many in the media should we really blow half of that or more on lowrie when there are holes to fill in the starting lineup and bullpen. But seriously continue to flip out and have a meltdown about just the possibility of a low risk signing...
