  1. Justin Upton to the Padres. lol
  2. Padres may be one of those teams that need to absolutely tank for a few years. Though maybe it's a risk to their franchise. Either way I think they're probably fubar.
  3. Gambling seems to be literally the only things Padres are doing this year. Their odds are stacked against them. - Kemp: Declining performance with arthritis in both hips - Morrow: Somewhat injury-prone and totally unreliable - Johnson: Did not pitch at all last year and was awful in '13 (supposedly due to injury) - Ross: Aging catcher with declining skillsets - Norris: Pretty good offensive catcher with poor framing Honestly this is some of the worst general managing ever. Reeks of total desperation.
  4. I seriously doubt any benefits of his framing make up for his very sub-par hitting and recent inability to throw out runners, in addition to getting even older.
  5. Our team says one thing and does another, this happens all the time. Or it's smoke and mirrors.
  6. Funniest s*** I've seen in a long time!
  7. LOL. So funny, because the guy is being completely serious. That video is actually accurate but it's actually forgetting one thing... If you find a hot girl that doesn't know she's hot, it's a win-win, you're getting the best of both worlds (less crazy, more hot)...
  8. I live, breathe, and will die baseball... I actually get a little mad when people are not talking about baseball-related things here
  9. A gamer tends to be more 'technically' minded, I imagine that would help many advance higher to some extent in their careers, in addition to having more modern skillsets (on average).
  10. I've never visited off-topic threads and look at my alias.
  11. I can't imagine the deal going through unless major revisions are made
  12. Not sure that's an excuse for a sub-par season. Stangstag is right, he has deteriorated to some extent, just like Juan Francisco is not defined by his month of May.
  13. There's no question that the average gamer is more out of shape than the average non-gamer. Though my friend told me that apparently the average gamer makes more money in their career then the average non-gamer (a word of mouth fact now). I also hit up the gym (not enough) and play sports regularly in the spring/summer/fall.
  14. Me too (around the same age, work in IT, play PC games, one game in particular)... There used to be a stereotype that people who play video games are 'lazy', that was probably derived by the same people who spend 3-4 hours a day watching TV. Stats from 2010: -average age of a gamer is 34 years old -49% of people aged 18-49 play video games
  15. Sure, I'll get right on that. I'm not that young, by the way.
  16. Not your worst post.
  17. I'm allowed to say a girl is fugly.
  18. She was prob eating bonbons when you weren't looking.
  19. I never laughed at Morrow having diabetes. I laughed because I thought they way he said it was funny at the time. Don't make s*** up.
  20. Word, trick is to brainwash them into liking tofu and veggies
  21. OK I'll give you some benefit of the doubt, was a while since I saw those and they were pretty raw
